@Vinu: The numbers you quoted are for September'. October numbers are still lower by 88.

Ony bringing in more models will help them. But after that also there is assurance if the brand perception of people will change or not. Because people never doubted the Punto/Linea, the only problem was brand FIAT.

Yes, mostly the rural areas, but it is ood to see, Mahindra working as per the requirement of rural areas, that no other manufature have thought of.

Yes, Indeed huge discounts and pure LX variant is doing magic for TATA Aria. This clearly shows that pricing screwed everything.

Nissan India Sales Up By 88%

Nissan India announced that it registered a year-to-date sales growth of 88% per cent with a cumulative number of 23642 units from April to October this year compared with the 12570 units it sold in the same period last year. The car maker sold 1862 vehicles in October.

I would say they are trying to project the wrong picture by using stats to suit them. Truth is that they sold 1853 units in October (3576 in September '12). Their recent launch Evalia did only 150 odd numbers.

Figo, Verito numbers were not great, infact Figo decreased. The reason is total apathy and mis-management from the company end.
I feel that Punto in spite of being a dated design would sell as 90% of the competition design wise is no great either.

Come to Kerala and see for yourself.
there is not much of issue with Fiat brand name as much as it is projected negatively.

Seeing the trend of Toyota, I feel they have taken a lot of premium for their brand, and dished out really uninspiring cars in the name of VFM. They might be due for a real rude shock, if they don't start to change. This is visible in Etios Sedan, and I would say also in Innova now. The sales are sliding. Though Liva has regained some lost ground! But for how long?

Good to see the Bolero's Sales figures 11,000. Great Job. And Mahindra is giving a tough time to TATA, way to go. Quanto's figures are decent.


Don't know what's happening with those TML people.Just bringing out the models with silly updates won't help my dear Tata.

Hyundai has is own way of success, Kudos to that.

And Renault my god, Duster proved me wrong! Sales figures at 5k. Kudos, Tata learn from it.

Innova's sales are getting weak, So XUV is pulling its legs slowly. Ertiga already showed its might.

VW has mediocre performance.

Maruti likes going to pond full of piranhas. Alto 800 was a known success.

Skoda: Wonder what made the rapid's sales slow-down? SUVs getting a power-up for sure.

Nissan: Sunny's marks decreasing, Micra's sales is beaten.
