IMO Aria should sell around 500 units per month to remain in contest not meagre under 300 units per month.
The worst part is image of TML in terms of Reliability.
Although Aria is a much better product than all other UVs (yes it is a better product) sut due to its high pricing makes it a costly product to own. otherwise at the price i have bought it in Delhi its a VFM (12.4L OTR New Delhi for 4x4 Pleasure variant).
Tata are obviously targeting the taxi market with the stripped down Aria. Any idea what's the mileage that Aria gives?

Well, the new figures are not at all amazing.
Some vehicles are still intact at their place, Duster is now having a good run...eh, it outsold Innova too.
Now I can see Innova slowly slowly coming down in sales charts..TOYOTA, ARE YOU HEARING?

Aria was made to compete against Innova which means atleast 2000 units a month would be considered average.
300 units must have gone to airport crew cabs or Hotel Taxi..disappointing I would say!
Aria was never Laucnhed in competition against Innova. ANy day Aria is a better product than Innova (user comment). I own an Aria and travel almost 50000 kms in Innova. Same goes for Innova whose sales figures comprised of 75% sales to Taxi and rest to personal use (assumption by seeing the numbers of taxi innovas).

Mahindra continues to grow stronger and increases the gap with Tata heading front in the race. Even after the Duster show its amazing to see Scorpio selling above 4000 units [clap]
XUV still going strong as expected which will only get better for me.

Yes indeed M&M is doing fine, but the real GAME CHANGERS are coming in next 6 months than what will happen to M&M, TATA and Toyota. Yes Ecosport will be launched in Mid February. The pricing of ecosport would be very competitive (as it is under 4mts in length) so expect a price of around 6L for base petrol and 7L for base diesel. Ecosport would be followed by HA Alpha from Maruti which would again be under four metres in length and will have a competitive price tag of around 5.5L for base petrol. This vehicle will also have proper 4x4 system. (i would love to own one)

Storme and safari together sold about a shocking 1052 units [frustration]. Does it mean storme hasn't yet stormed into the market !!Aria saw an increase of just about 200 numbers and sold 340 odd units,thanks to the pure variant.
Why is Aria being sold in hundreds?
Where is TATA heading to ? Do you see storme impact on the Tata sales positively in coming months ? I don't think so.

Storme is launched in some parts of the country and yet to see pan India launch. Anyway iam not expecting the safari figure to cross 2000 units mark in the near future with this price tag. Though the product is best in its class.

Fortuner saw a decline about 250 odd numbers. Is this the Rexton effect though it sold only about 120 units.I sincerely want the fortuner sales to dip really bad in the near future which would urge Toyota to add more features to it and justifies its price.
Fortuner is overpriced form day one and the prices should be in the range of 18-20L lets see when the sales figure will come down.

Yes, indeed tata is focussing on Taxi market and also to individual owners who has different needs like 7 seating, good mileage and space. if it is available at around 11L OTR Delhi than why shouldnt one go for it against Innova.

SO that might be the reason why individual wants to own this model

But my friend there are other considerations, like TASS and Toyota brand name. reliability, niggling issues. All those questions always corp up in user's mind.

And the when Pure 4X2 will be launched in Jan, we might see many Aria Pure variant used as Taxi, instead of Innova. [;)] (This is purely my personal assumption).

Yes, there is small difference now in Toyota ASS and Tata ASS nowadays. Where TASS is improving on the other hand ToyotaASS is coming down a bit in its ASS.


Yes, we can be sure that there were certain issues related to reliability of the product but TML has improved the Aria in the last 2 years or so and they are doing the same in all the Arias manufactured till today. Innova is 4th -5th Generation Innova but Aria is of First Generation. Like Duster its the 3rd Generation Duster which was laucnhed in India and hence has next to nill issues. Even look at the Etios and Live which have many issues in initial bathces. Look at he XUV 500 which a series of issues and M&M is still under process of ironing out the issues.

Yes, anyday Aria Pure Lx is VFM.
1.) If tata had laucnhed this product 2 years back at the time of initial launch thigs could have been different for Aria.
2.) If Aria was launched by Toyota than also things could have been different.

Yes this is what we few car enthu in 100 crore Indian population knows, But for normal common man. Toyota is TOYOTAAAAAA and TATA is tata.

suddenly when you notice sales going down you conclude Ass is getting poor.
If sales chart are on fire means Ass is best.
Ridiculous assumptions I would say!

when are we going to see the 'value' of product ?

Could you please give the source for this? When you say Toyota ASS is becoming poorer, is it based on personal experience or is it from a reliable source?

Those surveys be damned. They are never true because the sampling size is irregular.
Not to mention the geography ,dynamics,language of the land in india changes every 100 kms or so.

Infact when proof is presented people dont take it, when personanl expereice is given that is consider as individual case.

How can one then form a pattern of that survey?
If fiat ranks so high then why cant they sell cars?

îf fiat had sold 4 cars and 3 owners gave positive feeback to survey then fiat ranks first.
if Maruthi sold 20 cars and 6 owners complained yet Maruthi becomes second as per survey...and it goes on with number games

Fiat and Tata have the same rank (more or less). I guess the same survey results were used.
