Tata uv sales may increase by the launch of SAFARI STORME. Sumo gold fails to sell against the bolero. Aria sales are always sluggish. Tata needs to change their strategies inorder to maintain the no 3 position.

Time for TATA MOTORS to introduce manza-cs to increase the sales of Indigo range. Current manza needs a make over with revised styling as the hybrid. Nano diesel may put the sales of nano in 10k mark. Indica range is contributed mostly by vista. Indica ev2 and the soon to be launched indica xl will increase the sales.
Absolutely agree.Manza is losing its sales after the dawn of Etios,Sunny and Ford classic.TATA desperately needs to do somethinbg to revive the sales of Manza which is possibly the best TATA vehicle out there till date.

Actually GOLD is the only TATA UV which is holding their fort against Mahindra barrage.Except it other UVs like Grande,Venture,Aria and even Safari are not selling as TATA woulkd like them to sell.

Yes we are all eagerly waiting for Safari Storme.As a product it has the capabilities to bring back solid voilumes to TATA stable.Lets see when they will launch it,the wait for this vehicle has been very painful indeed.[cry]

Ratan tata told in an interview that their passenger vehicle section lacks passion and desire. Chairman himself is not satisfied by the performance. That is too bad for a company like TML

It is not bad.

Infact, it is good for TATA Motors that Mr. TATA is not happy with its performance.

Its not that we will see the effects in next month sales. Defenitely we can see some drastic steps and actions in the months to come and situation should definitely improve in near furture.

I personally have nothing but respect for the great visionary Mr. Ratan Tata.However I politelly disagree here that TATA people lack any passion towards car.If TATA as a company lacks passion would they have launched amazing cars like Aria or Nano?

I don't think its matter of lack of passion but rather lack of attention to detail noticeably the pricing part.To be completely honest with you I feel the only important thing they lack vis-a-vis their direct competition aka M&M is smartness .

If only TATA can be more smart as a company,i.e., to smartly price,position and time the launch schedule more properly they will regain their mojo I feel.

Ford India posted positive sales with increase of 16 percent year-over-year to 10,352 domestic wholesales and export units. Ford India have not launched any new model in 2012 so far accept the Classic sedan. The company will launch the EcoSport SUV in early 2013 which is going to be a very important model in the Indian market.

Ford India sold 7,840 wholesale units in the domestic market in August – an increase of 6 percent year-on-year. The company sold 7,382 vehicles in the same month last year.

During August, Ford India also reached a significant milestone, selling its 200,000th Figo, which dealers celebrated by offering attractive benefits on the best-selling compact. The Figo is exported to 35 international markets.

“It’s wonderful to see consumer sentiment improving as we approach the festive season, and we are confident we are ready to meet the growing demand for cars during this period,” said Michael Boneham, president and managing director, Ford India.

“While market conditions have been challenging in recent months because of rising petrol prices, high inflation and rising interest rates, Ford remains focused on delivering its One Ford plan to produce fuel-efficient, safe, and fun to drive vehicles which customers want and need,” he said.

Ford India’s exports are up 18 percent this year, with 16,847 units shipped since January.

Nissan sales soar nearly three-fold in August

Car maker Nissan Motor India today said its sales for August increased by nearly three-fold at 3,953 units.

The company had witnessed sales of 1,384 units in the corresponding month last year.

" Nissan Sunny, the entry-level sedan and Micra compact hatchback registered cumulative sales of 3,944," Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd (NMIPL) said in a statement.

Rest of the sales came from sports utility vehicle X-Trail, premium sedan Teana and sports car 370Z.

I have recently seen many Teanas on road, good long car. This companies came just few years ago and are easily overtaking FIAT. But God knows what FIAT is upto.

Nissan has Independent showrooms which are upto standard and beautiful. the cars they offers provides all the features which most of the Indian looks for, but in fiat's case it is Ironical .

the renault duster has had no effect on the scorpio.

the duster sales for august : 3.4k

the sales of scorpio for august : 4.2k

it means that duster has shed some share of the sedans in the sub 10L category.

xover I understand your love for the Aria and I respect that.
But we need to remove pink googles and face the facts .
History shows most of the time when a product fails it becomes extremely difficult to recover the sales. In my opinion no amount of strategy can help the aria its too late now. Tata must gracefully accept their mistake and move on . Its a classic car but month on months it has consistently earned the crown of " market dud"

For a major city like Bangalore, Nissan has only one dealer, whereas Renault already has two.[surprise]

Not sure what's the reason behind this one... they should have major presence by now. One dealer for a small city is understandable, but for Bangalore[confused]
