^^ Raja, Yeah true. But it failed to establish emotional connect with people. India is a land of emotions. Be it automobile, movies or any other product. People search for emotional connect; which was missing in Fiat's adds. So from this perspective, liked the present add. It has a touch of emotional connect and legacy to it.

'Admiration guaranteed' was more of Italian flair; the present add combines Italian flair with Indian touch of legacy.

Tasting the Italian delight with pickle [:D]

Yes the new ad is fantastic. They could have featured a Padmini. But ads cannot bring sales unless your showroom has various models atleast with facelift..[;)]

I think they have now become aggressive and trying to make people trust them. Its a good move and exactly what Fiat VP Mr. Saurabh Shrivastav was telling us in the meeting we had with him recently.

Business Standard has published an interesting interview with Nagesh, President and M.D, Fiat Chrysler India. Here are some highlights:

> Fiat India soon considering joining SUV bandwagon.

> They’re looking to double their market share and car sales per annum.

> Nine upgraded products coming up. Four from Fiat, four from Jeep and one from Abarth.

> Fiat wants to revisit old customers located in smaller cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Baroda etc.

Full interview: We want to approach our old customers in smaller cities: Fiat | Business Standard

The million dollar question is would you buy a Fiat ?
Sure we all are fans of then way fiat tunes it cars for driving pleasure, but when the time comes we choose Japanese over the Italians.

Punto and Linea where great cars, but poor built quality and brand FIAT kept away buyers or was it something else ? Initial sales where never a problem with FIAT, Palio sold like hot cakes even UNO AFAIK but then there is a lull that follows. Previously people blamed Tata's but prior to Tata also they weren't doing any good.

This bring me back to an important question. Where is FIAT going wrong ?
Few insights that i may give in

1) pricing of spare parts : an chrome strip on front bumper of Linea cost 3.4k that should alone explain the concept of pricing by FIAT

2) Bad resale value : i know mfg companies have little control over this, but FIATs do extremely bad in second hand market. Even HM's vehicles fair better
