Hi SS80,
Your thread on Brake booster for m800 has been very informative. I am also planning to get this done on my dads 800 as a gift to him. I will get his car which is currently at my native for a weekend and then get this done and drop it back which I hope will be a surprise for him. Can you please let me know your mechanic's name and contact no and also location details if possible?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot for such a prompt reply. Will it be possible for you to provide me with more details regarding the location of the garage? I live near electronics city and am not so familiar with Banashankari, but I did check in google maps regarding prarthana school. Is it located in Padmanabha Nagar?

Sorry for the late reply. I usually get my car only to this garage (Mr.Ashok), no matter how big or small the repair is.

A small suggestion :
Along with Brake booster also change these things too if you have not recently changed them.

Rear Drum Brake Cylinders - No idea (Varun or Jarpickle might know)
Front Disc Brake Pads - Rs.250/-
Front Drive shaft boots (rubber cover with grease for the CV joints) Rs.170x 4Nos
Steering column boots (90Rs.x2Nos)

These items cannot be replaced by ourselves that easily. Its better to replace these if you have not touched them in the last year or so. The last two items if replaced will last atleast a year (depends on your usage too)

Recently I got my whole gearbox overhaul done there: See this
Time & money spent in replacing all this at one time is lesser than doing it again & again.

Pics for reference:

Torn steering boot:

All the best.

Thanks SS80. I think I will also get the car to this garage and get it thoroughly inspected and whatever work needs to be done, will get it done from here itself.

I already got the location details, thanks to Varun. I was hoping if any of you could provide me with a contact number?

It can be bent and fixed, there would be no issues. If you need I shall share my mechanic's number you can get it done..

It will just take 2 hours for fitting the booster kit.
