Guys the Ford Ecosport petrol is a master blaster success for Ford I think , around 44% of the bookings are petrols, I dont think any other car in India has this much petrol bookings other than i10s & Marutis, and Hondas but they too in the lower segment only not in the 6-10 lakh Rs segment, Petrol rocks for Ecosport the biggest change in market dynamics between the last 4 years

Hello all TAI members,

It will be a great pleasure to see all the Ecosport pics on our forum at one place and hence I thought to start a thread for the same.

Please do post all the lovely pics of your Ecosport along with your variant details in this format: ''Trim-Engine option''. For example Titanium-1.0Ecoboost, Titanium(o)1.5TDCI and so on.

Looking forward for your pics[clap]

Hello All,
I joined the forum yesterday, and must say registering in this forum was breeze compared to other similar forum (no names). I have gone through the new car reviews, and quite impressed with review quality.
I booked 1.5P Trend Sea Grey on 12th Aug at Sequel Ford, Nagpur, and the waiting period as quoted by SA is 'more than 6 months'. I told the SA the term 'more than' is vague, and it should be something like 'between' or 'less than', but, he was helpless.
No booking number provided by the dealer. So I wrote to customer care and go the stock reply. I feel it is a auto reply.

So keeping mum, and waiting. In the mean time if any other SUV is launched, then will dump the ford and go to a sensible manufacturer. Terrano has been is a big flop as expected.

Looks like a lot of Ambiente/Trend are getting deliveries.

Ford will have to resume bookings before Diwali. There are two reasons:

1. Diwali season is when lot of Indians do car bookings; Ford won't want to miss on those.
2. Cancellations may happen around Diwali by people who really need a new car delivered during the festive reason, but Ford couldn't deliver it.

Hello folks,

I was going to book one, however my budget is limited and have thought of Diesel ambiente or trend version.
If you have had a chance to check these versions at the showroom, can you explain the difference in these 2 with respect to the rear seat reclining option.
From what i understand there are three levels of rearseat recline to choose from in trend,
In ambienete, which of this position is standard, full reclined or fully upright?
Please help as this concerns me for long distance travel.

Thanks

In Nagpur, Ford is offering discount of 20-40k on all model except ecosport. I think ford is in deep trouble, there is huge demand for ecosport, which they can not cater, and on other hand, huge pile of other models, for which no customers. The ecosport fiasco, is definitely going to smash ford brand in India. This is a classic example of disgust in blessing. The Aug sales figure will reveal the complete story.

By the way I have still not received booking number for my booking of 12th August. I wrote to customer care and write2md also. No reply. If ford is going treat me like this, I may never buy a ford vehicle in future.

who will Give the booking number ?
Not ford, the person whom you booked at dealer is liable for not providing the booking recipt or number.

You have booked the car with dealer and dealer may yet to pass your booking to ford as he is yet to clear the already waiting for delivery list.
Here write 2 md wont help, so u just need to ask the dealer , but they may blame it on ford to escape, dont leave him until he gives booking number

Actually, my dealer in Bangalore is selling quite a number of Figos and Classics as a result of these offers; but no such luck with Fiesta.

Due to increased footfalls for the Ecosport, and the long wait period, some people do end up buying the other models.

The booking number is dealer specific, they should give it to you.

Will wait for couple of month, then will go for Etriga VXI ABS.

Ford EcoSport Waiting Period Extended Upto One Year, Says Report; Delivery Delay Causes Booking Cancellation - International Business Times

A report from Business Standard has confirmed the same when it noted that the extended waiting period of Ford EcoSport has started creating pandemonium amongst the takers of the vehicles, forcing many to cancel their booking.
...
"The waiting period for all the variants of EcoSport has gone upto 12 months, and many of the people who had booked the car have either cancelled their bookings or planning to do the same," the report noted.
The word "pandemonium" looks like an exaggeration. Cancellations are expected, but for genuine reasons, like by people who have a festive season deadline; or they have lost trust on their dealer's promise.

BTW, for the first time, my SA called me on his own to update status of my wait queue. Hope the cancellations drill some sense into dealers and FIPL, to NOT take the customer for granted.
