Bad news this is for 100 other markets but not for india [frustration]
If this comes to india then am sure it will give good competition to fortuner and other top sellers in 20lakh suvs market
But ford has other plans, it seems they settle down their top end range with endeavour

Source: 2015 Ford Edge vs older model picture comparison

2015 Ford Edge revealed; sales in the US from early 2015
Yea,i know but if launched in india this suv will cost between 45 and 55 lakh rs on road, and for that money indian car buyer is too much brand biased and would never opt for a ford rather they would opt for something german,

Ford is bringing mustang to sri lanka,i heard that ford might release mustang as a halo performance car, priced between 30-40 lakhs,
Endeavour itself good enough to post good competirion against fortuner and santa fe,again the new audi q3s is there to lure brand biased indian buyers,so its a gamble game for all manufacturers releasing cars in the 20-30 lakh price bracket

This is a solid statement from the NCAP team who tested the Ford Figo, VW Polo
Global NCAP Asks Nissan To Stop Selling Datsun GO In India | MotorBeam – Indian Car Bike News & Reviews
Ford Figo and VW Polo are the only hatch backs in India tested yet in India and made in India that had a strong solid structure even after the crash happened, proves the importance of Ford chassis over the light weight Eastern counterparts and even the other American GM
The Figo/European MK3 Fiesta had a structure that had its sway bars and engine mount bay and A pillars had minimum movement compared to the other cars tested, shows how strong Fords 2006 chassis is even compared to latest new models from Hyundai,Honda,GM,Datsun, etc
A kudos to VW too to maintain the chassis with least cabin misalignment too, Figo and Polo are the only cars worth these credits

Happy to own a Figo as I too consider safety a top priority in car

Things that I like about Ford,
*Cars with thoughtful characteristics
*Dynamics
*Sturdy Build
*Good Design
*Reliability

Many won't agree with last point, but the Figo and Ecosport have been absolutely faultless. Figo is in its 4th year and family is not ready to sell it, because they highly appreciate its ride quality & AC. Apart from low FE it hasn't had any problems whatsoever.

I was expecting New Fiesta to overtake Verna when it was launched, but it was a complete dud. Apart from Rear Space & High Price, the car felt "Best in Class". With the facelift they have priced it cheaper, but its not selling at all. Only Next Fiesta is the hope for the company.

Fiesta facelift is a pure drivers car,and Ford has designed this car as a 2 adult 2 child occupant family hatch with huge handling and ride comfort as key pedigree that works wonders in Europe, but in a mrket like India where rear seat space is more important than even safety it wont work at all,
Fiesta is the best seller in Europe for more than 4 years in a row selling more than 1 lakh fiestas every year, specially UK,
Ford is developing a new Fiesta chassis in Germany for the world, its will have 28-32% high strength Boron steel as opposed to 22% as of now and will be giving importance to cabin space without compronising aerodynamics, the best part is Ford is seriously considering making the new chassis compatible to spawn a mini SUV like Ecosport,it will have seperate sub frame where AWD sytems can be attached as well,so Ford is serious about making a proper mini SUV under 4m mark,
The new car will debut by 2017, and by 2018 will debut the new Ecosport mk2 as well.

Are there any new Fords coming next year apart from New Endeavour, Figo Hatch & Sedan ?

Can we expect Focus & Mondeo anytime?
No Endeavour 2.2 TDCI and 3.2 TDCI can be expected and new Figo sedan 1.5 NA petrol and 1.5 TDCI and hatch with 1.0 i3 and 1.5 TDCI can be expected

Focus and Mondeo wont make it to India anytime soon, still Ford India will have the Sanand facility in Gujarat by functional by march 2015 so volume cars will be an ease, so maybe by 2016 at least 1 premium model may arrive to India, just my guess.

That's sad part, they both are excellent and have presence, thier dynamics are great and I wish they come to here sometime before 2016. We are looking to replace our 2011 Jetta which dad drives and looking at segment above it. He prefers Driver's Car's.

my cousin owns a ford figo , i have gone with him to our local authorised dealer, kairali ford many times.
pros-
1. good service
2.if customer is little bit aware of their problems with vehicles(what to be done to it and not to it),they can surely survive with technicians[;)]
3.have a good customer lounge to relax up , and they offer good packages

cons
1.i have heard about certain customers having their vehicle parts swapped up, but this is their in every company(customer can always insist to show the replaced part and old one-example-brake shoe and all they replace at correct intervals, even though it may be still in a good condition,we can insist that it is enough)
2. wheel alignment, wheel balancing ...they charge bit more pricey than local tyre shops
3.on road works are not as fast as maruti and other brands

Its because Ford is trying to capture a fair share of the lower B,B+ segment
Ford believes that due to the poor traffic system and small roads in India, small vehicles will grow in India much more than large vehicles, its true but for minority enthusiasts and for car lovers like US its a disappointment as Ford and VW are the major car makers that make fun to drive FWD cars
Mondeo if at ll it makes to India will cost between 25-30 lakhs on road and in this kind of market Ford believes SUVs make better choices as well, so I dont think Ford will push for selling Mondeo in India,
Focus will never make it to India as they learned more than enough from Fiesta sedan, Focus has less rear seat space than even a Cruze so it will fail hard in India despite its brilliance
