Supply constrain was a problem, I have a source in Ford India and he was sure of it, Mr;Joginder could have done a better job by taking care of early bookings but the real problem was supply constraints, lot of supply chain system of Ford couldnt keep up the pace with Chennai Fords demands and that proved difficult to keep pace with delivery times running out
Sure Global Ford could have taken care of India 1st before thinking of Thailand,Australia,UK etc but they didn't help either which put Ford India in big trouble as they had to keep pushing the bookings as long as demand is reduced

Ford had a wonderful product.! Will wait and see what happens.But they had made many mistakes in their 20 long years.Their first escort model was CBU and it cost a bomb to keep it running and people ditched it at the first chance. Ikon was introduced but with lot of engine problems.They were reluctant to compete in the mass market segment saying we will never make a small car.(Big American Ego) .Opportunities were lost .Somehow somebody put brain in to them to get that Figo thing started. Seriously I am mad about this combination Ecoboost +Powershift and already its out in the Philippines and South Africa and some other country, come on Ford India is waiting for this ecoboost Powershift AT Fiesta, bring it ON, the mileage figures that most got are averaging around 15-18 kmpl but in India it will be around 11-15 kmpl but who cares when we have 100-123 HP and 170 NM @1400-4500 rpm and such a brilliant chassis

From the brochure leaked,it looks like there will be no Petrol variant of Fiesta facelift.I don't know what sort of stupids run this company.You got a acclaimed Ecoboost engine and decides not to plonk it.Whats the big usp of Fiesta now?That fish mouth grill?Ford has shown again why they are the losers of the first grade.
The trouble with Ford now is ecosport ,it has already messed up the supply chain system which is not up to task as there are 2 reasons,Malaysia, Indonesia,Thailand etc has ecosport and only petrol models are the're so most concentration on petrol ecosports are not in India so they are trying to push the diesel engine production in India to the maximum until sanand plant comes into action,until*then petrol Ford's will be tough to find, another reason is Ford's heavy losses in Europe led to lots of imported materials and engines importing companies into trouble,In a nutshell the ecoboost is very difficult to import for Ford to India,and even if imported still only 5-10% people are interested in patrols so most ecoboost s go to Australia and Europe and a small fraction to malaysia and Thailand etc,

Anybody well versed in German, seemed to hop up with a video of Shelby GT500 Mustang when searched for need for speed movie clips, and I think the video demonstrates what POWER means, that GT500 is **** Fast and Madly Powerful and from the lean German I know they say it costs just the price of a BMW 535i and you get 650 PS and around 830 NM, more than enough to smoke some super exotics

Had a chance to chat with a friend of mine in Britain and he gave me some information about the 2nd generation ecoboost engine, the ecoboost engine with new 12v format and a start stop integration will produce 138 bhp @ 6000 rpm and 200 NM between 1400-4500 rpm,
He says the engine will debut in the 2015 Ford mondeo slated for launch December 2014, it's also the world's 1st engine with just 3 cylinder and 999 cc that produces more than 120 bhp ,it's told that the engine is as powerful as Ford's own 2.0 l diesel engine and has a rev range of around 6800 rpm higher than what the e osport ecoboost has,
