But Hall of Fame: Hero Honda Splendor ???

Do they still sell Splendor ? I hardly find new bikes on road

They are selling a lot of those in the rural belts.

Ofcourse, Splendour still sells like hot cakes in rural areas.

not only in rural but in some urban places as well. splendour is one of a hit in market.
back to awards, i'm sure "Green Award of the year" will be stolen by prius next year.

In 2006 there were six cars competing for the Car of the Year award. In 2007, the number of contenders shot up to eleven. Car of the Year 2008 had 13 contenders and in 2009, the number shot up to sixteen. This year 20 cars were competing for the prestigious Bloomberg UTV-Autocar Car of the Year award. Car of the Year - Tata Nano

Hehe.. so you are reading my mind now.

But do you agree with this? I don't count Ritz in premium segment (my view).

Well, it is a notch above the Wagon R and the i10, so I guess it falls into the premium segment, much like the Swift and the i20!!!

Here I come to disagree!

Please dont compare Ritz to i20 or swift.

It can only be compared with i10. Ritz can no way be premium hatch under any circumstances!

Only pricing will not make a car premium

Let the battle begin!!
Lets start with the comparison to the Swift ...
Same underpinnings ... so same performance.
Same engines ... same conclusion.
30 mm less in length ... not a big deal.
Same specifications in the comparable versions.
Dual Tone interiors ... notch up.
So if the Swift qualifies, I guess the Ritz does.
Not so familiar with the i20, so I will pass on that for the present.

BTW, I am not endorsing the COTY for the Ritz, only its inclusion in the list of premium hatches!!

I believe even swift doesn't come under premium hatch.
In my list, only i20, Fabia, Punto, U-VA and Jazz comes under premium category.
Swift and Ritz has its own space/segment.
