Wow Manza truly deserves more awards than these! But as Akash said TATA'S A.S.S is really poor. Maybe they deal with the FIAT people better than TATA car owners. I have plenty of reasons to say TATA A.S.S is worse and many bad experiences with my Safari!

TATA'S vehicles are always good for the first 2-3 years but after that when the natural wear and tear takes place the A.S.S will ruin your car even more. As a matter of fact they are not much knowledgeable and cant detect the reason for some malfunctions also.[cry]

True Akash!

Opinion Differs :)

There are 5000+ people who are different than normal people!

Every one have their own choice of preferences.
Thanks for taking my comments in a positive way. I didnt mean to contradict any statement of anyone here. I think its my bitter experience with TATA A.S.S due to which i have sudden outbursts when i find TATA cars. As a matter of fact, Indigo was once my favourite car

Akash,

Just the brand reputation will sell even the worst product from them. This doesn't mean that Dzire is bad. Dzire is a VFM product with lot of subjective looks.

But Manza is the true VFM with best comfort & features. Even after the bad reputation of ASS, if Manza has made the top 10 sales chart? then I am sure, that people are not only looking for the ASS, when buying a car[thumbsup]
Talking about the Dzire, it is true that looks are very subjective ... but the Dzire is clearly a good looking hatch, on which a tail was added, with the intent to have the maximum commonality. Given those constraints ... it is a pretty decent job!! But it has two top notch engines, and all the goods (and bads) of the Swift, and is backed by amazing pricing and the Maruti network I don't think it is only VFM that sells the car in such numbers that people have to wait 3 months to get their hands on it!!

Yes Aditya,

India is obsessed with Maintenance & Maruti is king of 'em all.

Thats why I see lot of Dzire still going in 4+ months waiting period here.

Actually, I planned to buy Dzire first, just backed out just because of 4 months waiting period.

Hmmm seems like people have started accepting the boxy styling of the Xylo. But I have never seen a Xylo taxi so far till now. After all they can also be used as a taxi as they will be a good replacement for Sumo and Tavera.

Same was already posted earlier. It's a no brainer that Tata Nano has to be the winner in most of these awards, after all it is the most “cheapest car in world”. However, I’d never vote or decide about it so early.

Tata Motors declared as the Commercial Vehicle Maker of the Year

Tata Motors today has been declared as the Commercial Vehicle Maker of the Year in the 'CV' Commercial Vehicles Awards 2010, instituted by CV (Commercial Vehicle) magazine. The award was bestowed to Tata Motors for staying the course in a challenging environment in 2009 and launching a whole host of products, which are going to change the face of the Indian industry and also bring it at par with the global commercial vehicles industry.

Tata Motors also received two other awards. The Prima was accorded with the 'Commercial Vehicle of the Year' award, cutting across all types of commercial vehicles - goods carriers or buses, large or small and four-wheelers or three-wheelers and the Prima 4028 S was adjudged the ‘HCV Truck of the Year’ in the Prime Mover category.

These awards, i hardly trust. they are superficial.

Remember when a magazine and others awarded Honda-CRV SUV of the year, couple of years ago. what SUV, the damn thing doesn't even have a low range.

Eicher Skyline bus wins LCV bus of the year award

The 32-seater Eicher Skyline Executive bus was honoured with the title of ‘LCV bus of the year 2009’ at the recently held Apollo-CV awards.

All buses are BS II / BS III compliant and conform to the bus-body design norms and the ‘roll-over test’ as prescribed in the Bus Code laid down by the Automotive Industry Standards Committee. Eicher’s Skyline buses are already available for the school segment as the much recognised yellow-toned ‘Skyline School’ brand.

The Skyline Executive has a body width of 4 feet and the largest span suspension design amongst its category of buses. The bus body is completely textured in fiber-reinforced plastic and is polish-painted with a high-durability gloss to give a classic, premium look. Driving comfort is ensured by the power steering, air brakes, high head-rest seats, an aqua-finish dashboard with additional boot space on the side panel, a short-handle gear-shift lever and a wide panoramic windscreen.
