Hate to bother so much in installing our choice of music makeover even after paying 12 lacks to bloody Hyundai, am jst not satisfied with just the ovals and comps.. I desperately need some idea to get the sub sound out of the trunk.. I love Skoda for their rear arrangements in the sedans..
Could you or Neil give me some idea pls?
sorry for late reply. was little busy and not feeling well too.
you can find my all videos of car here.... even older honda city and newer vids too - neelppatel007's Channel - YouTube

can you provide more info about your ICE , like what all have been connected with HU and with amp and how(did you used hi-low converter)? and rms power of your speakers , subs and amp..?

btw , why so many empty subboxes ?

for oval speakers , it will be difficult to put in this car. I had rear plank in my honda city before for oval speaker and the metal part was cut to prevent it from touching the magnet of speaker. and there was a hole in plank to get better subwoofer effect.

i dont have all those things in this car now that you quoted. I sold sony HU. left pioneer oval speakers in honda city. pioneer comps are resting in my cupboard , sony amp planning to connect if i buy some good comps.

In verna , I have stock HU , stock front speaker. JBL amp connected with infinity sub and rear door round helix speakers. my sub is pounding good amount of bass , above my expectation from this stock HU and it's even better after i have upgraded my subbox.

for more bass ,in HU , set bass at +10 and from setup/p.bass - select high.

@nick those hanging subs are nothing but show piece. it is called infinite baffling. the whole trunk works as a subbox. if your sub is 3000 to 5000 watts , then only it's going to play some bass. such subs are hard to find here. and noobs put 1200 watts subs like that which donr even support infinte baffling.

Hi Guys.. Foll. Things are connected to Verna’s HU.. both Alpine apms (400 RMS, 1400 Watts each), Pioneer DVC Woofer (400 RMS, 800 Watts) connected to 1 apm, 2 JBL Ovals 230 Watts, 80 rms connected with other apm.. 2 hi-low converters for both the apms.. JBL wiring.. That’s all at the moment.. My Kicker comps are still in my Sx4 with JBL bass tube.. empty boxes for the speakers but now speaker are on top of the rear tray n not using boxes.. I did same with my sx4 what u’ve done with your city.. N I was very happy with the sound and for extra bass, I was using 2 woofers earlier in the Sx4.. But now I just have 1 woofer..
Wat abt your sub? Have you done any cutting in your Verna? If not, r u getting the proper bass inside the car? Could you make a video or some pics and show me bro? I mean I just wana see how you have installed ur system.. Need some idea guys for all this.. what to do with the ovals, how to install them nicely, and wat abt sub sound? Has anyone here done any cutting and all in the Verna Fluidic?

are those monoblock amp... how much rms do you provide to your sub? and what is the size of subbox. and it's sealed or ported?

i have used torres calculator to tune the frequncy of my subbox. it's 1.6 cub.ft tuned at 32 hz. there is slight decrease in sub output compare to my sony HU. my sub is on low pass filter / 12 db oct / 2 ohm. all highest possible.
as it's DVC , check the wiring properly done with amp , if it's inversly connected , it gives half punch. try to alter positive and negatives , (poweroff system while altering).

you have to cut metal to put ovals in rear plank.
i have not put plank and not planning to. i've installed round helix e106 in rear door which are quite louder and will put comps in front door later. not planning to cut anything in this car.
can you put some vid of your system and sub playing?

Yup those are apms. am using 1 apm only for the woofer, so i guess all the rms. am not into all those details bro
Sub box is sealed, size is completely pathetic, i mean am thinking about changing the box, and have heard some VENOM India make boxes for
subs very professionally and they are based in Bangalore. Could you provide some info on the Venom as well?
Wiring is fine, when I open the trunk, I get ultimate sound, car vibrates like hell. So the only pob is with the trunk and not the sub sound.
But i do wanna change the box and I need something professional. this box I got made of MDF wood specially for my Baleno which I sold back in 2007.

Are you satisfied with your comps sound? I mean u've used ovals earlier in ur city, so now are you satisfied w/o ovals? I enjoy shoulder level sound more. I was about to cut metal part but the pob is you can't do it, space is less, glass is sloped, very less space for gas cut, and even if you cut, you cant put ovals there. though u can use 2 or 4 comps there. but not ovals... Why you are not in favour of cutting? wats the drawback?
Will put the videos in the eve bro. meantime you can have a look to some of my old sx4 videos..

Uploaded the video...
i played your and my video in my home system, your sub is way better i guess.
is that two sealed box seperated from in each other from inside.?

sealed box should be smaller(yours is a good size) and they should be filled with that sponge type stuff inside.
but to get better output from sealed box , you have to drive more power. if your sub is 400 rms you have to give it 500. and in addition this HU not going to handle that much high rms properly.
i am not telling you with surety as there is much difference in performance of sealed and ported box , but you should go for ported as they can perform on low power of this HU.

and for good sound quality , dont drive any bass in your speaker. at high volume speakers distorts because they cant play bass properly. few page back , i posted video about that , a guy explaining why we should seperate bass and vocals. because at same time you tell speaker to play 3 different frequency which is impossible for it,

i am satisfied with rear round speakers. i dont have comps yet. but this round speakers performs very well and gives clear sound.
i hate pioneer speakers. i had oval 80 rms 460 watts speaker in honda , and never like how it sounded. even pioneer comps are too bad and i am not going to put it in this car. I feel this helix has 50 rms and only 100 watt but it has better sound quality then those pioneers.

in this vid , i disconnected sub , and played song at 35 volume and no distortion. for speakers in amp my setting are - high pass filter / 4 ohm gain / 220 hz freq. my speakers dont play any kind of bass. all bass played by sub.

front stock speaker
rear Helix e106 (only 50 rms - 100 watts each)
fader set at R3

Rear speaker connected to JBL amp which produce 150 rms per channel
there is little distrotion in vid is because of my crap mobile camera

Nice video, good sound.. But cud u show me ur complete system dude like i have made the video which shows my complete system..

My Pioneer woofer is all most 7 years old (Jan 2005).. this was the 1st evr DVC woofer launched by Pioneer in India.. U wont blv but dats d fact,
this dvc woofer is very heavy, heavier then todays Pioneer DVC woofers.. magnet in this woofer is damn big..
7 yrs back, its cost was 7k and even today am getting 5.5k for this one.. you can get pioneer dvc's in 4k from grey market in delhi these days.. Box is sealed from inside, 2 sealed compartments for 2 woofers..

Box is big coz i made it this way as it was required for Baleno's low height trunk.. But now, shopkeepers suggesting me to get it changed, as DVC woofers need something special.. so that's why i was asking about Venom, do u have any info about these guys or something similar? Not in mood of changing apms at the moment..

Both the speakers are connected to different apm, and bass is al most nil for the speakers.. I always use different amps for both to get the max output.. am very happy with the sub, just thinkin abt getting FOCAL ovals now for a change.. these are gud in shape and with 150 rms (double of JBL), they gonna rock..

well, pls share your views with me on foll: Do u hv any idea abt VENOM (Bangalore).. or where do i get good professionally made sub enclosure n why rnt u in favour of cutting rear metal n plastic tray, n wat do u say abt FOCAL? [:D]

i dont have idea about Venom. my subbox is custom made in the factory by those guys.
i am not allowed for any cutting or changing HU in this car by my dad.
and the rear glass is too small and i dont have parking camera too. if i put ovals there it's gonna block everything.
Focal was my first priority when i bought helix speakers. but was little out of my budget.

i have nothing to show in my car as rear speakers are in door and in most of the videos on my channel i showed my sub and amp. that's it.

Even am not allowed for cutting n all, my sedan is with 3 years warranty, so i hv to be careful here.. moreover i do not trust Hyundai.. this is the 1st time I bot hyundai car.. I was mor interested in Cruze but Verna amazing fluidic looks, amazing mileage and best features made me change ma mind..

I'll change head unit with CASKA or Pioneer after completing 1 year.. even maruti provided 1 slot to connect with additional unit, and in this Hyundai sedan, you don't have any option.. this sucks big time..

I went to Delhi's best place to test Focal and compared with rockford, hertz, jbl higher series etc.. Focal are the best.. but the only problem with them is, in India we don't get after sales services.. thats wat i'v heard... wat abt bangalore?

i have no idea about after sale service of focal.
if so , even helix wont be having after sale service as it's rare to find in india too.

there is a place in bangalore where they make only subboxes. I went there. calculated size according to my tuning and told them to make it how I want - custom made[:D]
these are pics of my setup. rear speakers are in door. i posted few pics on this thread before so cant post same pic again.

got led light for boot today. planning to stick blue paper above it.

thats nothing just you have to remove the bulb and fit led. i got it done at shop but you can do it by yourself. dont remember brand but all led are same. doesnt matter. there are 9 small leds in it.

That's the problem, even people who are using FOCAL don't have any idea about after sale services.. But they say they don't need it, ppl who use focal stick to focal.. just like Pioneer guys when it comes to head units..
I was asking the place name where you got your sub box made, I understand custom made.. [glasses][:D][:D]
Led light looks classy, i'll get it done in mine as well.. wat abt inside cabin lights?
how's the idea of LED lights inside the cabin? Thanks for the help!!

it's not famous like Venom nor very professional.
they supply subbox to this car ICE dealers. ICE dealers wont make fully custom made and will charge more. so i find this guy and went to his factory.

inside cabin , it will become too bright and looks cheap if it's white in color. it will look like those indica taxi and maruti Van , disco dancers , who modifies such things.
