Audio System Upgrade on Hyundai Verna Fluidic

@ Neil..
Shopkeepers here are suggesting me to go for Sony Mono XM-GTR3301D which is 1100W & 330 RMS for the sub @ 6k, and also suggesting Sony 4 channel amp which is for 5k..
What do you think about the Sony mono? Could u recommend me any good cheap 4 channel amp for the FOCAL's and Comps..?? Need to know asap dude.. Is there any other way to contact you??

Dont go for sony amp. They have heating issues.
I have sony xmgtr 4 ch amp too. Its not that good.
my jbl amp costed me 13.5 k.
there is one jbl gto 350 w monoamp. Will cost 11k. Go for tht and connect ur both voice coil if its 4 ohm sure , in parralel using mono amp. Search in youtube hw to connect in pàrrelel..search how to connect dvc 4 ohm into 2 ohm (for single sub)
And never connect in parrelel with 4 ch amp ever. You will blow it

I think for your focal , alpine amp will be good enough.

No idea about those vibration sound. Will solve it after my exams , in jan.
maybe damping or rear wooden plank again. It vibrates like hell now.

Ppl using latest Sony amps here never noticed any heating issues... anyways what's bad in sony mono if not amp? its gonna cost me half compare to JBL.. and till date I haven't used mono, still i was happy with my amps.. so buyin a mono for the 1st time, i guess Sony mono is better fr jst 6k... wat say?

Sony gtr series are good not best. But dont go for that sony gtx 4 ch. Its worst amp.
sony gtr mono gives 600 rms at 2 ohm. And 330 rms at 4 ohm
for your dvc 4 ohm, if you connect both coil in parallel you get 2 ohm means 600 rms
if you connect both coil in series you get 8 ohm means 330/2 = 115 rms
So if its monoamp, better to do parallel with dvc 4 ohm sub

But read manual for amp and sub and refer some info before connecting in parallel.
Dont create 1 ohm by any mistake , if amp doesn't support 1 ohm it overheats and blows. Neither do parallel with 4 ch amp while you are bridging.

Just because you have dvc 4 ohm sub, thts nt gonna have 2 ohm on 4 ch amp anyway.
I will simplify

S - series
P - parallel

Mono amp
1 svc 4 ohm sub. (like the one I have) -> 4 ohm(good)
2 svc 4 ohm sub - 1. S -> 8 ohm(worst) ... 2. P -> 2 ohm(best)
1 dvc 4 ohm sub(yours) - both coil in 1. S -> 8 ohm(worst) 2. P-> 2 ohm (best)

With two dvc you can obtain 1 ohm on monoamp if its capable to handle it.

4 ch amp.

4 ch amp.

When you bridge two ch, it halves the impedance.

For my sub.
1 svc 4 ohm - 4/2 = 2 ohm(best) - because its bridged impedance is half of 4 ohm

For your sub. 1 dvc 4 ohm..
Both coil in
1. S -> 4+4 =8.. 8/2 = 4 ohm (good)
2. P -> 1/4 + 1/4 = 2... 2/2 = 1 ohm ( blow the amp)
So for your sub, you dont have option to get best from 4 ch amp.

Thts why I am suggesting you to go for mono.

Between those two, I would suggest my amp.
It gives 150 rms per ch. Best for your focal.

For sub,
Either buy mono later or change the sub to svc 4 ohm.

For 6k sony mono is good.
its hard to get good mono under 10k.

I can't suggest amp, my exam is on 29th , lot busy in study.

thanks neil... one of my frnd suggesting me Focal Solid 4 which costs all most same of JBL GTO1004 and he also told me GTO1004 >?,.. discontinued.. but might get 2nd hand... when are u plannin to change? He said both the amps are good but solid 4 is better then gto1004...
Will do some more research on mono... 29th is too far... can't wait that much... I would be leaving for Manali on 24th... so before I leave, ill get all the stuff in my sedan...All the best for your exams...

okay so JBL GTO1004 amp is final... how much its gonna cost me? around 10k?
Couldn't find JBL mono GTO 3601... 12k is too expensive, i guess Sony would do justice to my sub... wat say? under 10k, many mono are there, like kenwood, and some chinese SK... I wanna spend on good amps as ill be using hyundai's HU, and that's the reason going for JBL amp and mono...
