Re: Nissan Makes NV200 (Evalia) Van with Ashok Leyland
Took a short test drive of this Evalia,
Quick features and initial impressions that i noticed:
- Looks are good like premium luxury van.
- NVH levels are good and there's too little diesel clatter.
- Very well refined 1.5 dci engine under the hood.
- Engine response is good (87 Bhp) in cities, don't know about its highway manners.
- Flexible 3 row seating, all 7 members can travel with full comfort, 2nd and 3rd seats easily welcomes 3 people to sit abreast.
- Gear and and Steering is very light to give car like feel.
- Visibility from front and A pillar is good.
- All models including basic one gets ABS+EBD
- Stands up to the TVC, perfectly moves like music
Now for some initial drawbacks:
- Priced a bit on the higher side.
- Plastic quality doesn't fit the price levels.
- Features provided are less.
- Middle row windows doesn't roll down, nor doesn't have butterfly type like Venture, So A/C must be on all the time in hot and humid climates.
- Doubtful and scarce A.S.S (For Eg, there's only one dealer and serivce centre in a city like bangalore)
Final Verdict on the car:
If not too much concerned about the comfort levels on all the seats, then Ertiga is the vehicle which is to be considered, else Evalia is the best best one can go for in 10-12 lakh budget.
For Bangalore the prices OTr Starts from 10.57 lakhs to 12.45 Lakhs.
