Try file expert. Download the HD version if you have an HD phone.

ES file manager is an advance app. If you are looking for a simple and easy one then try OI file manager.

Deleting Facebook app will help boost your Android smartphone’s battery life: Report

Social media giant Facebook’s official mobile app is slowing Android smartphones by 15 percent and is consuming excess battery power, a media report said on Tuesday.

The hugely-successful smartphone app has been hit with controversy this week after a number of reports showed it drained battery life and slowed phones, express.co.uk reported Monday.

Facebook fans discussed the impact of the app on Reddit, with one user publishing a chart to show the drain caused by the Android app, the report said. It was found during the test that involved launching 15 popular apps in succession. Each app loaded significantly faster when Facebook was not installed on the same smartphone.

“So yeah, I think that settles it for me… I am joining the browser-app camp for now,” a Reddit user posted. ”Messenger seems to be worse than FB. Both apps individually caused a slowdown of roughly five percent in the test,” the user claimed.

Another user said that, “I think it had just become so bloated with features, things they kept adding to the main site that people wanted in the mobile apps also,” adding, “Combine this with Android’s tendency to let apps run wild in the background.”

Last year, some iPhone users reported a similar problem saying the app began draining almost 40 percent of the battery.

Google Maps for Android Update Brings Navigation Tweaks and More

Google Maps for Android received its first update of 2016 last month that added several new features including Driving mode and more. Now, there's a new update for Android users that brings new features including a tweaked navigation interface, and from other changes.

The new Google Maps for Android version 9.20 is currently not available on Google Play India but can be expected to be rolled out in the region soon. For those who can't wait for the new features can download the apk which is signed by Google via APK Mirror.

According to Android Police, the latest Maps version 9.20 for Android also brings some minor improvements such as adding a shortcut to the user Timeline to quickly add a place to the history.

One of the biggest improvements in the update is new signage that shows up on the Maps. The update will now show names of the streets and exits that you are supposed to turn to, instead of just showing the blue line. Another notable addition can be considered to be a setting to disable turn-by-turn instructions for voice navigation during an ongoing call. Earlier versions of Maps for Android unfortunately missed out the feature. Notably, the turn-by-turn voice navigation is enabled by default. Users can head to Settings > Navigation Settings > Play voice during phone calls, and turn off the setting.

Another addition is pairing a review with photos submitted by a user for the same location. The new feature will allow reviewers to express their experience with the help of images apart from the text. For those who have submitted reviews for a location and also submitted images of the same location will now see the images showing beneath the reviews.

The last Maps update added the 'intelligent' Driving mode which essentially utilised the user's location history and Web searches to provide traffic updates and ETA (estimated time of arrival). The new Driving mode feature was an optional feature in the new Maps update for Android. It could be enabled from a shortcut on the home screen and can also be turned on from the navigation drawer.

WhatsApp for Android Update Finally Rolling Out With New Emojis

WhatsApp users on Android have finally started receiving an update that adds much-awaited new emojis to the app. WhatsApp for Android version 2.12.441 is gradually being made available to download via Google Play, adding a number of emojis with new facial expressions as well as new characters. We can expect the update with new emojis to rollout soon in India.

Notably, the same update was available via signed APK since December and has been available to some users for months now.

Some of the new emojis introduced with the latest app version include spider, unicorn, popcorn box, champagne bottle, racing cars, medals, and volleyball among others. The new update also adds a new detective emoji to the facial expression tab. Previously, WhatsApp for Android included only five tabs for emojis apart from a recently used tab. In the latest version there are eight tabs with new sports, flag, bulb, and a separate beverage tabs. The update was first reported by Android Police.

The new set of added emojis to WhatsApp seems to be from Unicode 7 and Unicode 8 which previously debuted on Apple's mobile operating system with the iOS 9.1 update.

Unfortunately, the Google Play India still lists an old version but we can expect the latest version to rollout soon in the country. The update listed in the store says it adds backup and restore options for chat history and media via Google Drive, and also adds a new 'Starred Messages' feature. Both these features were rolled out last year.

Earlier this month, the Facebook-owned messaging service WhatsApp announced that it now had 1 billion monthly active users.

Facebook Messenger for Android Gets Multiple Account Support

Facebook has redesigned its popular Messenger app so several people can use it on the same smartphone or tablet without relinquishing their privacy.

The update announced Friday initially will only be available on devices running on Android, the world's most popular mobile operating system. Facebook didn't set a timetable for making similar changes to its Messenger app for Apple Inc.'s iPhone and iPad.

The new feature will accommodate multiple accounts without allowing people sharing the more versatile app to get into each other's queue of messages.

Facebook added the ability to switch accounts within the Messenger app after getting requests from people who share their smartphones and tablets with family and friends.

More than 800 million people currently use Messenger.
