Finally decided not to sell my car as family convinced me of not selling it and personally I am very happy with the decision.I went for a drive to delhi and this time I got the best average till now and this gives me huge smile on my face.
One question as sync 3 is available now so can change old system to the new one and also I heard that ford is now giving total of 5 years of warranty so is that true???
That sounds amazing Sir.
Upgrading to Sync3 requires hardware modifications IMO.

You cannot change SYNC 2 to SYNC 3, SYNC 3 is based on Blackberrys ONYX OS and the hardware too is different, while SYNC 2 is Microsoft based and GPU etc used for SYNC 2 is Power VR based,so its not compatible

3 year warranty is sure there but I too havent heard of the 5 year warranty statement, so far,
Also great mileage out there, should have been cruising at sub 90 kmph speeds to get that kind of mileage

They should give any option to upgrade to sync 3.And I heard somewhere about 5 years total warranty will check and get back.
Also this mileage I achieved while driving between 90-110 on the highway with moderate traffic.I guess while driving upto 90kmph we can easily get upto 16kmpl and I think this is excellent mileage with 2200 cc engine.

So upgrading is possible or no and are ford guys started that or no????
Maybe you can replace it, but you will have to shed out enough cash for the same.
I still remember Ford charging 1 lac for navigation in Sync2, don't know what Sync3 whole headunit will cost.

The problem is the sync 2 is integrated to car functions as well, like the voice commands etc, so for some one to replace it with new hardware means a lot more of coupling and software codes should ne re written for SYNc 3, so its highly unlikely they will do it,
On the other hand Ford in US has released a back up plan that will help old SYNC customers get ypdates features of newer SYNc and faster responses etc, if that comes to India it will be good, as these set of software updates will significantly improve sync 2

My friend bought the 3.2 titanium 2weeks back and he installed front bull guard and rear guard too and before installing rear guard he enquired in market for it but no one has that with them so he bought that from the showroom guys and even I am going for both front and rear guard this week.Price for rear guard is approx 5500 I guess and it feels sturdy and front one is for approx 50k.
Will keep you posted once I install them.

Avoid it on all costs. They do more harm than protection. In case of a hit, they missalign easily and break the bumpers too. They are not properly designed and add unnecessary weight to the car and many times during front collision they do hamper the working of the airbag sensor as well which further is a safety threat.

agreed with akash. don't install these on your car.
also 50k for the front guard:eek:

Well the front guard is expensive but it won't harm any warranty and they don't hamper any airbag sensor as said by the ford itself.Let me know if I am wrong but I spoke with the ford and they said this to me.

Even I was thinking it will hamper airbags deployment and chassis/axles issues, but then its Ford OEM accessory, this shouldn't be the case right?

Ford Endeavour doesn't even need a front guard as the butch looks makes the oncoming traffic to give way for you. And it is very easy to make those tight turns without the front guard, the commanding view will be of great assistance to see the front end of the bumper while turning. And as akash told it would missalign and break the bumpers more while on crash.

It is a OEM accessory and wont void warranty and all but will they give it writing that it will not hamper the airbag sensor during a crash/hit? Compromising safety of passengers for an accessory is never a good idea.

I think this one should be airbag friendly bull bar. I had a talk with an advisor but he didn't know about this.

Edit : No need for having anything in writing. From the official website.

Still won't recommend spending 60k for this. You can easily get the bumpers repainted 8 times for this cost from ford.
