Good Work [clap]

Is that a 3 cylinder engine? Your Idle rpm seems to be not less than 1.1k, Why it is so, is that a cold start?

In my A-star, ma tacho flies only upto 5k. Ya im not mistaken its 5k itself. After that it sounds boooooomboooooomboooooom. Does it sounds funny[lol].
But in your case it doesn't hesitate to go beyond 6k. Have you done any other mods?

In my knowledge its the protection given to the engine by not letting it to revv in the dangerous region.

@Kichu:Every engine has it own rev range, that is set by the manufacturer. It is controlled by the Ecu.If you keep over revving the engine it will lead to engine damage.

The tachometer on deville_56's car is not controlled by the ecu and hence it can rev it past the redline. You need to know the red zone of your engine, else if you keep over revving you will damage the engine.

The 800 with the F8B revs to 3500 rpm.

Indeed it works on ECU signal [evil]

Thank you thank you. It's a 4 cylinder F10D motor. Starting rpm will be only 2k max in any car and will come down to 1k range once it settles. Only in 800 cc 3 pot motors its hesitating to go beyond 5.5-6k rpm as red line is in that range.

It should work since both share same engine/ECU and VDi used to come with a tacho.

tacho.
Okey., So it an earlier model of Estilo right. The newer model comes with same 3 pot engine of A-star itslelf, thats why I'm confused about its rev Limit.[;)]
By the by my car is a vxi variant and the tacho in ma car is the extra fitting done from the MASS itself.
Cost of MGP A-star tacho :Rs.950/- purchased in 2011.

Guys my SA says it's not possible to install Ritz Tacho into Dzire Tour because it doesn't come with the wires and ECU doesn't have that option. Should i believe him?[confused]

I think he doesn't know and has not taken the pain to check whether it is possible or not?
