Hahaha same boat as me.We have extended warranty on the Ertiga.But have already installed a touch screen dual din system+Rear view camera and speakers.

If you can get it done at a Mass with a bill for the job then you won't have any warranty issues.

The parts can be purchased yourself from MGP, use the link to find an MGP distributor for your area.Go there check their catalogue and order the parts accordingly.

I have already bought various parts from MGP dealer in Trivandrum. I am planning to buy digital clock, Ritz VDi Tachometer and if possible all 4 poor pads + power window switches and power window kit for all doors.

Due to warranty issues fitting will be done at MASS only.

Just contacted the SA through phone. Things i wanted to modify in my car are as follows:-

1) Digital clock that comes in Dzire VDi/ZDi was not present in Dzire Tour LDi. On asking about retrofitting this to my car SA says "Not possible as wires are not their for connection"

2) Changing door pads of all fur doors to Dzire VDi/ZDi doorpads so that power window switches will be integrated into the door pad handle and will look much better.

SA:- "Door pads not available as accessories. Such "Extensive mods not advisable".

Me:- "All four door pads available to the same dealer's MGA shop located some 10kms from service station".

SA :-"I have no idea and i am sure it can't be done"

3) Can Ritz VDi Tacho be installed in Dzire Tour?

SA:- "No Dzire Tour ECU doesn't have provision for tachometer".

I am 100% sure he hasn't checked with anyone for all the above 3 queries. One of the member in TAI has his elder brother working for MASS in Kerala itself some 300kms from my place. He had confirmed that both Tacho and clock can be installed in Dzire Tour without extensive modifications. Should i raise a complaint about this SA to Maruti Suzuki? How should i deal this situation?

Unlike about the complaints regarding the service or the problem in the vehicle, Maruti wont gives you any helping hands. I have tried regarding the sparkplug upgradation and even for the tacho fitting. No use.

I think for changing the door pads its enough for you to go to a local garage where you can find some enthusiastic workers. Be sure to have your presence during those works. Installing the clock wont be a pain. Anyone with some skills can do it.

I'm not familiar with dzire tour, doesn't it have integrated tacho in its instrument cluster?thats so sad. I think the dzire tour have lots of differences in its interior comparing to the dzire's later models. If possible click a pic of your instrument cluster.

The Dzire tour was meant for tour and transport operators.Hence the interiors are very basic.Lot of things that were available in the normal Dzire were withdrawn for cost cutting.

Dzire Tour is basically is same in features to old Dzire LDi. Only difference is some cosmetic differences like black bumpers front/rear, black door handles and mirror. Also left mirror is not provided. Rest everything is same as old Dzire LDi. If they did extensive changes then it would be very cost intensive and unviable.

If so then you can easily buy the instrument cluster from a VDI or ZDI and fit it in your car.Why don't you try the scrap yard and find one cheap.

Wiring kit for Dzire LDi and Dzire VDi/ZDi are different. So if i buy VDi instrument cluster i will have to replace the whole dashboard wiring kit which will be a very extensive modification which i don't want to risk.

Nope checked it in detail from Senior Engineer at MASS. He said it can be done but would take a lot of time and most importantly will be very costly. Also checked it through TAI member Rakeshkn whose elder brother works for MASS. He also told me it's very costly. So dropped the plan.

The price of instrument console is 6k and that of dashboard wiring kit is 30k. I don't think i will be able to find instrument console of Dzire at scrapyard as the vehicle has not been around for a long time.

You will, you can find so many swifts out there bound to find Dzires too.It will be so much better than drilling holes in your dash to fit a tacho.Please check it out.
