Buddy were you talking about mineral oil???? Did you go for mineral oil at 5000k? Which one you opted? And any recommendations?
Yes. I opted for Mineral oil at 5K since I plan to change oil again at 10K, just to ensure all the floating scrap is flushed out of engine. This time I am planning to opt for synthetic oil. Another reason for not opting for synthetic oil in 5K is based on some suggestion in forum about not switching to synthetic for new engine.

Changing brake oil, brake bleeding is needed, yes thats true to drain the old oil and remove any blockages in brake oil lines.I don't think there is an urgent need to change brake oil.
Consumables=>brake oil things accomplished =>brake oil change, brake bleeding, finding faults with brake liners(which may add upto the cost)

Radiator flushing is recommended by using radiator flush, shich removes any dirt or mud from radiator.(every 10k kms is a good thing)
Consumables:Concentrated Coolant,Radiator Flush
Things accomplished:clean radiator.

Injector cleaning is also recommended

13-15 k more than that the quotes for 3 things
above 2 things can be done within 2k max.
injector cleaning no idea.

did you notice any good thing about performance? what change you noticed after 1st oil change?
today I left my car for 1st service, initially I thought to change it with mineral oil but I opted synthetic.
I had 2 things in my mind so I switched to synthetic in very beginning
  • Synthetic is low viscus compared to mineral and it will increase the engine performance and reduce the fiction inside the engine. so i'm expecting few +ve things here.
  • Synthetic oil sustains better in cold and very high temperature condition.
I'm hoping for better results after this switch. let me update my experience later.

I feel 10k km is too early for flush but I agree with you that it is always better if we lower the interval period.

for normal flush it cost you around 650 plus tax but the service quote mentioned ny cruiser( 13k to 15k ) looks too much for 20k km old car.

ok guys, thanks for your help.
you welcome Cruiser, but dont forget to update your 20k km service experience here.

It would take me a year to reach 10k interval, might be means at 3rd service i may do radiator flushing.

Brake oil flushing and bleeding is always a good idea before monsoon.

Just tell me the cost of injector cleaning, in case you might have experiences,i need for another car.

injector cleaning not going to cost you much, it may cost under 800/- for diesel vehicle, I feel it is lesser for petrol car.
anybody have exact idea about the cost?

They quoted me around 3600k for injector cleaning & one more thing was included with it & if it is just injector cleaning than also the quote was some 1900k.

Where is the cheap maruti service infact i think it is costly than other brands.

did you notice any good thing about performance? what change you noticed after 1st oil change?
Frankly, the difference was very subtle since it is a new engine anyways and it was butter smooth even before service. Engine felt slightly smoother and with some of the niggles like tighter gear shift was adjusted. Otherwise I didn't even notice improvement in mileage as others suggest. From first tankful, my ZDI has been consistently giving around 17kmpl.. for 80% free roads + 20% traffic. Even in highway drives mileage has been around this range only which could be because of higher speeds (100 - 110).

This week planning for a long drive, during which I am thinking about maintaining < 100 kmph speeds to check any difference in mileage figures. Will post updates.

Well maintaining constant speed on highways gives awesome mileage!
My LUV gives 21.5 kmpl at constant 100kmph speed and 24.3 at 60kmph.
Try to maintain constant steady speed!

Bangalore,
just wait for some time Im writing my 1st service experience report

Maruti service is not cheap but service network is high, till date muruti had small cars and which were entry level only, so that might left the impression that maruti service is cheap, it is no different than other but it is ok.

I have no idea About this quote, you need to pull full details about that job.

Thats good that your vehicle is returning consistent performance.
yes you need to drive it under 100kmph to get good performance.

Today I have switched my engine Oil let me write detailed 1st service report.

Yours is rather new and has gone only 1st service bro, thats why its less. After each service, the mileage increases. But dont forget my tips, best for highway!

Thank You friends and bro, I don't know which tires will give you such looks, but these are 17inch tires and I have also increased the size of the wheel arches for them. And this has compromised a small portion of the rear doors and using such huge tires will affect ride! Its best for modification though!

First Service Done!
Total run: 1200km
on Tuesday I got a call from Maruti customer care and they asked me whether they can block the appointment for 1st service tomorrow or not.
I said ok, but when I went I found that there is no such thing, it is just 1st come 1st serve[lol]

Total Service cost: 5300/- :suspect:
break up:
Mobil synthetic 0-40: 3300/-
oil filter: 360/-
underbody silencer rust free coating :850 (they said, it is life time)
service TAX: around 500/-

issues after 1st service:
  • Channel 2 button of music system got jammed and there is no control on any other buttons.
  • Steering mounted Controls were not working.
  • Now I'm finding some dhat dhat sound when I release brakes, is this because they cleaned under chassis of my car?
cause for above: poor cleaning facility, they dont even clean your dash board instead they touch your dash with oily hands and make it black.
there was some mud particles so the button is got jammed,
I had to take back my car again to service yard to get it fixed.

Engine: Engine feels much refined and less nosier now but I yet to discovery if there are any FE improvements.

Service done: they did nothing but a partial car wash, 1st service is no useful if you dont change the oil or if you have nothing to complain.
