I had installed AC filter in 5k service for first time and MASS suggested replacement in 10K. I gave concurrence mentioning they can replace if in case it is dirty. As expected they replaced it & I also never checked old part for close to a month. But when I happened to see during the cleanup, the filter was as good as new and got really angry at MASS for being unprofessional.

They had also done a messy job with water wash. They used hard water which white dots all over including windshield & also on the dashboard (kept windows open I guess). WORST thing is they put same hard water along with some windshield solution in to the windshield washer tank. Cant imagine how they could be so stupid. So I had provided bad feedback when Maruti had called.

Coincidentally, in a few days from then MASS called up asked reason for bad feedback and what they could do to rectify? I gave him a mouthful and promised to adjust in next service - I have been asked to retain the filter.

Coming to your question, bad smell needn't be because of AC filter alone. If some water spilled on carpet (non PVC) & it is damp for a day or 2 - there will be foul smell like dead rat.

Otherwise based on condition of 5k used filter, I would suggest at least it can be done after 15k to 20K kms unless you are using the car in extremely dusty conditions

hey thanks for the info and thats the way we should handle MASS otherwise no respect for us, its good to be BAD.

They had replaced the AC filter after 11,000 KM. But there is no harm in changing after 7000 KM as this costs you only Rs300~350.

ya Ill replace AC filter tomorrow, what is the effort any idea?

I have the AC filter on mine to but whenever i put it on Fresh air mode,foul smell comes with that.I don't know what will be use of these filters than.

I wont use Fresh AIR mode since bangalore is full of dust and smoke, till date my AC filter worked well I guess

Thanks for the link provided. I will try to get it.

My LUV has done 1st service last Sunday. Got the registration done last week and I am yet to get the RC book from RTO. Yesterday my SA came to my residence and installed the number plates. These are the normal ones and not the new format Ind logo embossed on it. When asked, SA told me that I need to pay extra 1800 to get the new format plates.
is it the case with you people also ?

After 1st service , I felt the engine is not smooth. Earlier there was no noise in the cabin but now there is some engine noise in the cabin which is clearly audible. I asked the service guy to come and check. usually after the service, the vehicle becomes smoother whereas in my case its the reverse.
Anyways i will update the status.

I am yet to get Seat Covers, Steering Wheel Cover and Door Edge Guard.

you need to pay for IND number plates, mine is still old type.
dont expect anything from 1st service they wont even touch your vehicle unless you point them some problem,
why dont you opt for early oil change, I changed it for 1k km.

One more thing I hate about Innova - second row travel makes me very uncomfortable (feeling of nausea). Initially, I ruled it out thinking it should be my medical condition. But after couple of rides and similar experience, I discussed with my friends who travel frequently about Innova & everyone shared the same experience. In fact, some of my friends who are given Innova for official commute, request for a sedan (or even Indica).

Btw, I am just sharing my personal experience and what my friends have shared with me. I still have very high regards for Innova for its reliability & Toyota maintenance.

Your statement about the second row in Innova seems to be familiar. I heard exactly the same from my father-in-law and so he had to move to the front passenger seat.

I bought this for Rs.100 here in Chennai during a auto expo also bought a magic sponge which is like elastic and doesnt tear and absorbs water very useful while washing the car.

I need to know how to remove road Thar marks on my car. I have many spots of taar. Not sure how to clean them.

oh is it, same company product with same type!!!!
Next time ill post product details 1st and ask your suggestions.

I use normal sponge It works pretty well for me, point me to magic sponge ill try once.

Regarding tar removel: consult your SE, they should remove it for free since they have supportof liquimolly at there service station.

My roof a/c rattled but it is fixed and I don't hear rattles after then.
