Hi tdautoz,

Appreciate if you could you post the throw and cutoff pictures of these projector lens. These seems to be a very good option to upgrade lighting especially direct fit on H4 sockets.
Have not posted pics till now as it was having issue with fitment as few cars (swift/amaze/fabia etc..) having socket slightly tilted towards right. and the cutoff is also going diagonal. [frustration]

We have asked the manufacturer to rectify the issue. Also, looking for any other alternatives.

We are continuously looking for best option of bi xenon hid bulbs with direct fitment. Hope we will get good option apart from swing type hid bulbs which does not have any beam[;)].

Few have installed by filing/ cutting the assembly but till date no pictures have been shared.

Below are some of the pictures for reference of Mini lens with exact output.

Thanks for the insight. Any idea as to where can i get h27 4300k hid bulbs in Bangalore?
We do have below options in case if you are unable to find H27 in 4300K.
1- H27 normal HID bulb - 3000K
UGLARE - 55W H27/880 3000K AC HID Bulb - Pair | eBay

2- H27 50% extra bright than normal hid bulb - 4500K these have not been listed but in case is required we can post. These ones are a bit costly due to its quality. It costs around 2000/pair.

Buddy I was in same thoughts as you.
Rest assured. I now have h4 Cree LED 30w in Stock headlamps.
And 35W 4300k HID in OEM fogs from tdautoz. The combo is perfect for any modern hatchback. Maximum Light output with minimal glare and Fuss I must say. Entire setup is reversible in case you need to claim warranty.

Buddy, The biggest problem will be in Cars Like Hyundai i10, i20 and most modern cars that have a Glare shield directly ahed of the bulb. Its the same with by i10 blue boy.

The function of this shield is to prevent any light beam from leaking to directly in front. Light can only bounce back on the reflector and then exit as per focus designed by the manufacturer.

Check pics below-
You cannot see the bulb directly.

Sorry i have very little knowledge of projectors. Are these just bulbs OR mini projectors which can be fitted without opening headlamps.

Does it glares like HID bulbs without projectors? I am looking for my honda city 2010. Please share details like components included, installation procedure, cost and durability.

Thanks

No probs. I thought the query is aimed at TDautoz as he's the expert on these mini projector Product

1>Buddy I am not very sure on these Products. But These are Mini Projectors that bypass the stock reflectors. From the pics, the Cutoffs are sharp so glare will be controlled. However these are prototypes and more R&D is required.

2> My simplest solution for Forward lighting upgrade is to get OEM fogs, and upgrade them with 4300k HID kit in 35w power. They serve as second low beams on the highway and Glare is often quite controlled. You do not have to Open or cut like the headlamps as Fog Bulbs are usually H8 or H27 which does not have dust cap.

Cost shall be about 5k with fixing.

I recently installed Uglare ASIC 42 W 4500k HID on my Skoda Rapid for Low Beam. The car came with Hella Projectors - Made in Czek Republic, had H7 55W Osram Xenon Halogen Bulbs as Stock. After the upgrade the light is greatly Improved. But as you observed VWG Cars have a pronounced Lower Beam on the Driver side - part of EU regulations so as to not throw beam for oncoming traffic which could cause momentarily blindness.

I believe Liva does not come with Projectors so your upgrade path won't be easy.
Are you willing to Retrofit Bi-xenon projectors?

1. Install Philips premium bulbs in headlamps.

2. Install oem fogs.

for a more serious upgrade, LED CREE bulbs can be installed in both of these.

Hi bhvm, thanks for the great info on HIDs.

I have a zest and was looking to upgrade the headlights.

I have H1 night breakers installed for the high beam and had H7 night breakers for the low beam. Both the low beam bulbs conked off after around 2 yrs.

I was wondering if an HID kit was a better option for the low beam or would a LED option be better. Read somewhere that LEDs are not good on projector headlamps.

Also what would you suggest for the high beam (once the existing H1 bulb fuse).

I could not find the exact specked HID on uglare.com and was hoping you could point me to the one that would work on the zest.

Sorry to bombard you with all these questions and thanks in advance.

Hi ,
Another question.. has anyone got HIDs installed in their Tata Zest?

If yes, could you please share pics of where the ballasts have been placed/installed.
Thanks in advance.
