The outer diameter of 205-55-R15 (0.5% odo error) is more close to the original than the outer dia of 195-60-R15 (2% odo error)

But now I feel the 205 might rub the mud pads.

Still winding what to go for/ model/ size

^^ My cousin's figo has same size(205/55-15) tires, running without any issue.Since Manza is bigger, it will not be an issue i think.

Indian Web site does not list 185-60-R15. Bridgestone dealer had this imported (All Ecopia are being imported) Paid Rs 5000 for each. The tyre was manufactured in 7th week of 2013 so was the bargain in price.

Expecting the tyre to last for 2 years hence did not worry on the manufacturing date much.

Sj, I am stunned. You paid 5 k per tire and yet expect them to last 2 years ¡, How much you would have paid if the other brand tyres last for 3 to 4 years?

And buying a tire manufactured more than 6 months back doesn't reduce its life, but predisposes to cracks and hard ride after few days.

Few more pics of the ER 60195/60 R 15 upsiz d tyres for manza.
Tornado sir, Somehow I missed this discussion for so long !

ER 60 is superb choice and I am sure you would be enjoying the ride. In my previous car (Verna) I had used PLC and ER 60 back to back & following is the experience.

0 - 100: Stock bridgestone tyres

100 - 45000: Yokohoma S drive - 4 tyres: Got deceived by the looks only to repent later. After approximately 25K kms, humming noise started increasing gradually. Though I still had some tread left, decided to replace them and go for completely silent tyres. Only 1 Slow Puncture - which was rectified without using spare wheel.

45000 - 100000 - Michelin PLC - 4 tyres: After noisy ride for around 20k kms, it was a superb experience for next 55k kms. I had absolutely 0 complaints with the tyres - not even a single puncture. 55k kms for a set of soft tyres is wonderful mileage (that too for a set of 4). Though it had some tread left for another 5K, I replaced it before a long trip

100000 - 110000 - Bridgestone ER 60: Though I was completely satisfied with PLC, I wanted to try Bridgestone too since ER 60 was considered equally good to PLC in terms of silence. In addition BS was supposed to be more resistant to side wall issues. Considered Ecopia too - but it was very new in the market and not much feedback was available.

My experience with ER 60 over 10K kms (before I sold the vehicle 110K) was very good. For initial 100 - 200kms I felt ER 60 was slightly harder than PLC and hence ride quality was a notch stiffer. Got used to it after that. Hope you are loving them too !

Note: On my new Ertiga, got Goodyear Duraplus as stock tyres. So went for replacement with PLC (3ST wasn't launched then).

@Tornado
My B250 BS lasted for 35k and decided to change
Ecopia being softer rubber, I expect it to last not more than 30k and that's the milage I expect to cover in 2 yrs

Kindly note my previous post. My earlier Bridgestone lasted for 35kkm. Tyre life also depends on road, driving style (less life if driven at high speed for longer time)

And I prefer to drive the tyre with good tread depth and not bald.

Finally got the Bridgestone Turanza AR20 for 21000/- for 4 tyre. From BK Tyre lajpat nagar new delhi.

Old BS 250 tires ran 64000kms last 4000kms had 2 mountain trips & that caused 4 times puncture so thread was getting lesser thus making the tyre vulnerable to puncture.
One of the tyre had leaking puncture, twice got it repaired but it remained leaking. Now I am looking to buy a tyre inflator with digital read out in PSI but could not find any where.

Simply ridiculous! New tyres bought by a professional photographer and no pics!

Anyways, congratulations, you are lucky to get the AR series.

@gypsy, go for Limi digital tyre inflator without second thought. Here is my experience with it. The PSI reading of it exactly matches with the Bridgestone select showroom. Even if my tyre is punctured, I don't replace the tyre with spare wheel but refill it on the spot with this inflator and travel to near by punctre repair shop cautiously and get the punctured tyre repaired

Click on my bellow quoted post and you will see the pics too.
it was an unusual day for me. In the evening , I found that my Manza was pulling toward RHS.After two to three kms I alighted from the car to inspect the car from outside. To my surprise , both RHS tires were flat.I realised that changing the spare wheel is not going to solve the problem fully , hence decided to go to puncture repair shop earliest as it was 8 PM already.

The pucture mechanic on Castilino Road was a cruel man.He told me that since it was closing time he won't help me out. I said , atleast inflate the tires so that I can reach another puncture repair shop but the devil refused to oblige.
I was left with no option but to drag the car with two deflated tires to search another shop. But suddenly I remembered about the digital tire inflator which I had purchased at the time of the Manza purchase. So I took it out from the boot .I was wondering if it was in working condition as I had never used it since I bought it.
But to my surprise and pleasure it worked nicely on the power supplied through mobile charging port.
It took total 10 mins approx. to inflate the deflated tires to 32 psi. Crowd gathered around my car to see what I was doing , the cruel puncture repairman also joined the crowd.
One fortuner driver came to me and enquired about the digital inflator and the shop from where I purchased it . I was very happy .

Then I took my car to a puncture repair shop nearby .Total 3 punctures were found on the front tire while two were found on the rear (Rs 500 INR).

Then I headed toward my home but immidietely the tires started making noise somewhat comparable to engine firing of the bullet -Enfield , though noise level was less. I suspected that the puncture mechanics might have left the the bolts loose, so I retighten ed ' em. But the noise persisted.

Then I suspected that it might be effect of normal air in the repaired tires vs nitrogen in the remaining two tires.I got the nitrogen tires deflated and inflated them with normal air which resulted in disappearance of the noise.

Today morning I was travelling on my routine route. There came a WIP patch of the road, it was a steep slope, many truckers were lined up, hence I decided to overtake them from left & accelerated, overtook 3 to 4 trucks without problem however, to my surprise I noticed unusual load of dust flowing behind my car in the IRVM. I continued travelling as my destination was 4 km from there. While driving I noticed some unusual lub dhub type sound. When I reached parking of my destination, a driver of another car came to me & told me that my left rear tire is badly flat. I went to see, to my horror the tire was flat and there were two big rents (5 to 6 cm) in the sidewall. I had to replace it with spare wheel.

Initially I felt up sizing has taken its toll, but since the WIP stretch was really bad, hence not sure.

In the afternoon , I replaced the tire with new one . Cost incurred—Rs 5500 including WA WB.
