There is no argument between us, we were discussing and posting our experiences. But some how I felt we might have moved from the main subject of the thread and hence I have said we stood stop that discussion on this thread and as it may confuse Tornado.

I really do not know how to convince you on this matter, but try it in my best way to explain my view point here

I have no experience of ER 60 on all these cars mentioned by you, but I just have experience of driving a Manza which is with ER 60.

Now coming to the conclusion part, I have experience of JK on Alto and on my Ritz and they do behave differently.

On Alto they were very good comfortable having good grip and less noise too

On my Ritz at present, there is no proper grip, body roll felt more and make lot of noise.

So based on the above experience I have just raised a question that same brand of tyres may behave differently on different cars. And expect Tornado to check ER 60 experience with other Manza owners on the internet.

You may be having a different experience with ER 60 on your car, no offense on your view point buddy.

My humble request is do not make the forum as court hall please and have little respect for fellow members experience too[:)]
@Gurrala74:Hahaha, everything works on facts Sir.Driving and ER 60 Manza once and driving an ER60 800 everyday for the part 2 years, I can comfortably say I would know more about these tires. This sir, is fact.

@ nozzle ring , what is relationship between blisters and rain ?
@ Gurrala and Jarpickle , you both are right from your POV AFA OT is concerned .

For ER 60 Turanza , I found following chemical plies
Tread -2 layers of steel.
1 polyster
1 nylon.

Side wall - 2 polyster .
We can say sidewall of ER 60 is definitely tougher due to 2 polyster layers.

For Potenza , my research is going on.

Radials are reinforced with steel wires. And the Autokraft service centre told me that, if for some reason, the wires break, blisters will be formed. The guy told me it happens if the car gets water logged for prolonged time.

Read many reviews on internet by corolla owners . 195 /60 R 15 is stock size for it.
Previous generation corolla use to come with with tubes potenza RE 88as OE fitment, most of the owners went for Turanza ER 60 tubeless at the time of tire replacement. No dobt they were bound get satisfied with turanza ER 60 as they were tubeless.

However I have not come across a review where in tube potenza RE 88 gone for tubeless Potenza RE 88, but no reason has been mentioned by them.

New corolla altis comes with Turanza ER 60 as OE fitment.

No TAI n corolla owner has yet responded to my PM for their view on this thread.

BTW , I checked with almost all major tyre dealers , no one has got RE 88 potenza later than early March 13.[frustration]

Found this/ Bridgestone Turanza AR10 Test Drive

AR 10 seems to be a combination of better comfort and better handling while the ER 60 is a entry level comfort tyre with average handling characteristics.
If I don't get potenza RE 88 manufactured within last 3 months , I would opt for AR 10.

I searched for A 10 s at many major dealers in pune. Most of them were not having A10 s .

One dealer had them[angel] , I went there only to find that they were manufactured in 2011.

I called up almost all BS dealers in Pune for Turanza A 10 195/60/R 15 , few of them offered me discounts /WBWA etc @4700 to 5000 INR for 2012 manufactured A 10 s or other BS tires.I told them to sell me tires and not the discounts as was intrested in tires rather than the discounts. They got impressed by my demand and said that they would order the newly manufactured A 10 s from factory @5500 INR.

After some time , a dealer (whose showroom was visited by me and gurrala ) called up me and told that he is receiving multiple enquiries from other dealers for A 10 with 195/60R 15 & he guessed that it was for me[clown].He told me to deposit some money if I am ready to fit 2112 manufactured A 10 so that he can get '' em from the factory as A10 manufacturing is stopped by the bridgestone from 2013.
I decided to forget the A10 s and went to his showroom.I asked him to suggest a relatively a driver friendly tire (steering response , steering feedback , pickup -those who do not make the car sluggish despite upsizing ) as comfort level was bound to increase by default due to upsizing. He asked the guys to fit the ER 60s .

ER 60 s are manufactued in 17 the week of 2013 .He never tried to push the RE 88 potenza s manufactued in 8-9 th week of 2013 , any bussiness man could have done so .And that clinched the deal .
Deal -TURANZA ER 60 @5150 , Total -20600 INR inclusive of WBWA , Valves , Nitrogen.FOC.
Job completed within half an hr.Received the warranty card

Manza tire upgrade /upsize : First drive report: turanza ER 60

After the alignment , I inspected the car from outside to know any unusual thing , no unusual sidewall buldge was noticeable.

.Then I sat inside the car, immidietely I felt that the height of the car has increased .I drove the car in the heavy traffic . No accentuation of the turbo lag was felt as that was my primary concern about the upsize. On the contrary I felt that pickup has improved.

Then I purposely drove the car on undulations and small potholes on the road which I use to avoid AFA possible during last few thousand kms, as they use to cause annoyance to my body. Also drove it over bumps at normal speeds (without decreasing the speed) , believe me the eyes agreed that the car passed over the undulations and the bumps the butt disagreed with the eyes[drive] , such was the smoothness .

Also while passing over rough patches my ears use to get irritated due to the khad, khud khid noise prior to upsizing , which has got converted in to lub-dub-lub as if heart sounds are heard with stethoscope.

Then I approched a state highway , where I overtook various vehicles at usual speeds , then there was a ghat section in which there were five hair pin turns Body roll was reduced to almost nil. I felt the body roll almost nil but I felt that if it was A 10 turanza instead of ER 60 , the body roll could have disappeared completely.[glasses], however tires felt as noisy as previous tyres bridgestone B 250 , but tire noise was never my concern.

During hair pin turns tire didn't scraped any where in the wheel well.
I didn't drove the car spiritedly as still the tires are in running in ' period.

When I reached home , I sent a sms to the dealer for providing the turanza ER 60.
I reported the tire replacement news to my better half , she was amused and touched my feet and thanked the god for ending my tire shopping spree.[:D]

Tornado Congrats for finally taking a decision, it surely must have relived your better half, she must have been equally feeling the tyre pressure [:D]
Then I sat inside the car, immidietely I felt that the height of the car has increased
Dont you think that its more of "placebo effect" I doubt ifwe can actually feel that slight height difference.
On the contrary I felt that pickup has improved.
That will happen with any new tyre as rolling resistance will be minimum with new tyre, remember I had 4 tyre changes on my manza & I felt that same, the steering feedback was always different from each change.
however tires felt as noisy as previous tyres bridgestone B 250 , but tire noise was never my concern.
Noise inside the cabin is hardly felt even with stock tyre due to stereo & AC blower switched on so that would hardly be a concern.
During hair pin turns tire didn't scraped any where in the wheel well.
That is a good news which you were concerned about.

How much speedometer error will this upsize make?

+10, She was infact bored of my research , but when she came to know that tire is a safty issue.

As it is upsize , heighten was bound to rise , also my previous tyres were completely worn out , hence the improvement in height was felt more conspicuously.

The dealer didn't offered me anything , not even 100 Rs for previous set , so I decided to take to my ancestral village to donate them for funeral rites purposes.

Noise inside the cabin is hardly felt even with stock tyre due to stereo & AC blower switched on so that would hardly be a concern.
+100.
]How much speedometer error will this upsize make?

Need to do little more research on this.
