Realme X50 Pro 5G launched in China; pricing starts at 3,599 yuan ($516)

The Realme X50 Pro 5G features a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display offering Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The HDR10 complaint screen of the phone is also integrated with an in-display fingerprint reader.

The display on the device comes with a pill-shaped cutout for housing dual camera sensors, which includes a Sony IMX616 32-megapixel primary camera sensor with f/2.5 aperture and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 105-degree field-of-view and f/2.2 aperture.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and comes packed with 8/12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage. There’s also a microSD card slot for expanding the phone’s storage capacity and VC Liquid Cooling to ensure smooth usage using heavy gaming.

Samsung Galaxy A11 with 6.4-inch punch-hole screen, 13MP triple cameras and 4,000mAh battery is official

The Samsung Galaxy A11 features a 6.4-inch LCD panel with Infinity-O design. It offers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels resolution. The top-left corner positioned punch-hole on the screen is the home for its f/2.0 aperture 8-megapixel selfie camera. Samsung did not reveal the name of the processor that powers the Galaxy A11. It has only revealed that the smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core chipset. The handset comes in two RAM variants such as 2 GB and 3 GB. Both models come with an internal storage of 32 GB. There is a microSD card slot onboard for additional storage.

Mobiles phones to get expensive as govt increases GST to 18%

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) on mobile phones has been increased from 12 per cent to 18 percent. This change in tax slab will have a direct impact on the pricing of mobile phones in India. West Bengal was among the states which had cautioned against increasing the tax rate citing the weak economic situation of the country and the impact of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Motorola Razr 2019 foldable smartphone launched in India

The device houses dual displays: a 6.2-inch pOLED Flex View display on the inside and a 2.7-inch secondary G-OLED Quick View display on the outside. The primary display features a notch and is made of plastic. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, along with 6GB of RAM. It has a 128GB of internal storage.

The camera department of the device houses two cameras. The primary 16MP snapper that is placed on the outside of the device, next to the secondary display and a 5MP camera placed on the inside when the device unfolds. The smartphone supports camera features such as Night Vision, Portrait mode, and AI capabilities.

The Motorola Razr 2019 comes with a price tag of Rs 1,29,999. It is now up for pre-orders and will be available to buy via the online platform Flipkart and top offline stores, starting April 2 in the country.

Realme 6i with 5,000mAh battery, MediaTek Helio G80 SoC launched

The Realme 6i is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, paired with Mali G52 GPU. The new chipset has two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. Nokia 5.3 launched with Snapdragon 665 SoC

The Nokia 5.3 price is set at 189 Euros, which is around Rs 15,110 in India. For the mentioned price, Nokia will be shipping the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The company says that the device will be available for purchase in late April.

Nokia 1.3 launched with Snapdragon 215, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage and more

The Nokia 1.3 has a design similar to that of the Nokia 2.3. It is a 3D nano-textured polycarbonate back while the front is covered in glass. The phone has a waterdrop notch in the display with pretty thick bezels which we won’t fault at this price point.

There is a 3000mAh battery inside that is removable and said to last more than a day on a single charge. It charges via a MicroUSB port and ships with a 5W adapter. Android 10 (Go Edition) is pre-installed and it will get updated to Android 11 (Go Edition).

Nokia phone maker just launched a global data-roaming SIM card that works in 120 countries including India

HMD Global, the Finnish brand responsible for Nokia’s second coming in the smartphone space, is expanding its horizons. Not just Nokia phones, HMD is also making SIM cards now. The company has launched a global data-roaming SIM card, called HMD Connect, that works in 120 countries including India and should come handy for those who travel overseas a lot – although, it’s advised you strictly avoid doing that for now in the wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

HMD Connect is claimed to be “your hassle-free data SIM for wherever you travel.” So much so that HMD will also deliver it to your doorstep, for added convenience. Note that even though HMD Connect SIM card will be active in India, you can’t get it delivered to you just yet. You’ll probably have to wait for HMD to include India to the list where you would actually be able to buy the SIM card and also get it delivered to you. For those who will be able to access these services, HMD will offer a starter kit priced at 19.95 Euros through its website.
