The looks are more balanced than the Polo's. Keeping my fingers crossed for the price, though.

Hahaha! That's pretty ambitious Umang. There is no way the Vento will be priced that low. After all, VW don't want to hurt sales of the Polo Highline either! And be warned, being a VW, it will definitely have a hefty premium over other competitors in its segment. The base variant of the Vento may just cost over Rs.7 lakh (this is just indicative pricing from my side) and the fully loaded diesel may cost near-about Rs.11-12 lakh. That I believe is still good value for what is a pretty well-made German saloon. And remember, the City doesn't have a diesel option as of now, so the Vento definitely has an edge there.

And not to forget a horrendous price tag.
It is nothing but a polo with a boot and VW is asking honda city money for it.

But are they taking money for the neatly stuck boot. LOL! sorry mods if OT. just kidding.

Yes look wise, its plain and very good looking, similar to Polo. Only -ve point is, will also have same 3-pot engine like Polo.

Well frankly there are no changes i believe AMG! I expected a few extra features apart from that present in Polo. And this is one car where the boot has been slapped perfectly on a Hatch without any mismatch!

They have bridged the gap between the Polo and the Jetta. Wish they could now come up with a compact Hatch in the range of 2-3L.

I’m sure, there are certainly going to be some changes in the features. A few of them were also explained recently when the car was officially unveiled in India.

Nobody will buy a cramped hatchback bolted with a boot for 9 lakh rupees.
There is got to be increase in interior space.

The build quality and the engineering design like all VW cars must be better than City and if priced on par with City can surely dent City sales.

Am expecting the price to be around 8.5Lakhs for base model and the top-end must be around 12Lakhs. If priced higher it will directly conflict with the Jetta i guess.
