Ex-showroom price of Swift, Ritz and Punto (Base Variants), are -
Rs. 4,22,859 Rs. 4,06,525 Rs. 4,34,089 - respectively.

And Ex-showroom price of Polo (Delhi) - Rs. 4,34,000

So its truly competitive.

Are you sure its only 15k?? I expect a slightly higher difference!

That is the point Amaan was mentioning! In this closely competitive segment even some 20k is really decisive!

Exactly! Exactly! Thanks for understanding! You see, for some people, even a couple of thousands more or less make a difference in this highly price-sensitive market. It is the same with my parents. Hence, if it is priced neck-to-neck with the Ritz even, i can easily convince them to go ahead for it, because i truly love the Polo. Let's wait and watch now, there's just two days to go [:D]

Thats true amaan!

I got disappointed with couple of my friends for the same issue.

He bought top end santro for 3.75Lakhs where as adding 40K would have got him i10 1.2 which is way ahead !

As said, few thousands make lot of difference in hatchback segment.

You are welcome Amaan! Lets hope that your wish comes true!!

Thats very bad decision from your friend Zinam!! Maybe too money minded , because he is getting a top-end model for a lesser price tag! I would have preferred the i10 anyday!![thumbsup]

Yes. It has ended up like the same with few more friends too!

So This segment is more tougher than pricing a Ferrari or Even a Lambo :)

Well, in this world with rising globalization, It’s a cut throat competition, May it be a hatchback segment or a super-car. Anyways, The said pricing for Polo looks perfect indeed but it won’t be fair to give out the any conclusion right away, Let us wait sometime for actual ownership, on-road price and feature list on offer which will decide this car’s fate in our country.

The middle to top end of the Hatch segment is going to be an exciting place to be in for the next few months!!
I guess, the best part is that the customer will stand to gain from this!![clap]

Yes. Today is the launch of prices :)

Polo will be anytime out within next week.

But pricing is not very competetive for the highline variants, I felt it should have been some what lesser.
