Yes Amaan it must be around 5Lakhs only!! So i guess you must be setting your mind on the Polo then! But only one thing i doubt is the maintenance and the prices of the spares!

Haha! My mind and heart are already set on the Polo! But the problem is that mom and dad are aware of the Ford Figo which will nearly cost a lakh less, and it's proving to be an uphill task for me to convince them now, with such a huge price difference. Also, at the price of the base petrol Polo, i could get a range-topping Figo. I am so confused!!!![frustration]

Though there's no doubt that Polo is a much better option than Figo but I'd say leave it on your parents and advise them to test both the cars before finalizing, rest will be taken care by dealers themselves.

Just called Volkswagen Downtown dealer. Asked for the on-road price of the 1.2 Petrol Trendline in Mumbai. And my guess was just about right. The on-road price for it is Rs.4.99 lakhs, and Rs.5.57 lakhs for the Comfortline. I guess that is the price you have to pay for owning a Volkswagen.

And i feel your parents might be right on Figo.

Somehow my feeling is Figo is better than Polo, but Polo has VW as brand back-up. Let us wait for our test report on Polo, but the test reports on other places looks to be favouring Figo.

I would suggest the comfortline as a good choice if you convince your parents! Elso Figo is also a good car but have to wait for TD report to say a final review!

I would prefer the Swift instead of Figo!

swift is too much common on road and i'm damn sure that figo and polo will affect its sales more or less.

Well !! I keep my fingers crossed until I drive it :)

But not all 3 cylinder engines are worse. Fabia's 3 Pot engine is awesome!

I beleive it will be definitely that way.

Are you talking about the 1.2 or the 1.4?
If the 1.2, then you should take a drive in my 1.4. It is a step above!!
