Michellins are very puncture prone
This is a generalised statement.
I have used 3 sets of Michelin till now on different cars. I never faced puncture proneness. Also I didn't suffer due to side wall bulge or cut but have seen many other cars running on Michelin xm2 suffering from sidewall bulges.

Yes, I too have suggested him the Yoko Earth 1 especially if he is not fond of hard cornering.

I was using stock MRF ZVT for 77k kms until i changed to Earth 1 tires. Dramatic difference in handling, noise, etc. Would recommend this. Now waiting for long term usage report. Already has run 15k kms and no issues so far.

Drove a friend's Polo who has CC5 and boy o boy it transforms the vehicle. It has so much grip that car does not wheelspin or when it brakes, abs does not kick in because the tires stop the car before. Loved this tire also. Longitivity cant say now but will report over time.

Quoted Yoko price is good, just check the manufacturing date before the dislodge your stock tires.

For used stock goodyear, 2500 to 3000 per tire should be ok. Last year new goodyear was costing 3600/tire.

Can you please post pics of the sidewall of your stock tire?

One question : are you fond of hard cornering?

For first 500 kms speed should not exceed 80 kmph. That's the running time required to brush off the protective oily layer from the tire surface so that tire does not skid upon hard braking, especially in wet conditions.

Continental has introduced UC6 & CC6, if you have got them do post a review here.
From there website, it looks like CC6 are next gen cc5, and are comfort tyres.
UC6 are looking like performance tyres.

Need to change the tyres of our 2014 Honda City iDTEC to 195/60R15.Which is best?I'm considering Yokohama Earth 1,Michelins and Continental MC5.She runs on stock 175/65R15 Michelin XM1,which are way skinny and those tyres has run 36000 Kms in 3 years.
