Hero MotoCorp marked last month with robust sales figures of 5,71,054 opposed to 4,99,113 units in April 2013. This is the highest sales ever achieved in non-festive season.
Mr. Anil Dua, Senior Vice-President (Marketing & Sales), Hero MotoCorp Ltd said:

“The sales of over 5.71 lakh units in April, the opening month of the fiscal, is the result of a series of initiatives that we have undertaken in the past few months, including exciting new launches, customer-friendly initiatives and brand building activities. The latest addition to the Splendor family - Splendor iSmart with revolutionary i3S technology - has made an immediate impact in the market and we are fast ramping up production to meet the growing market demand for this new bike. Brand Splendor keeps going from strength to strength even as our other motorcycle and scooter models keep contributing large volumes to our overall kitty.

“Indeed, the three top-selling motorcycle models – Splendor, Passion and HF Deluxe - and two out of the three top-selling scooter models – Pleasure and Maestro - are all from the Hero stable. With more new launches lined up in this quarter, we are confident of keeping up the momentum. Going forward, we are hopeful that the industry will stay on the growth path, although a lot will also depend on the monsoon and overall economic activity,” he added.

^^ These data given many surprises for me. Thank you 350Z.

-Bajaj still selling Platina and that too 42000 units. I thought they stopped platina. I didnt saw a new one in Kerala for the past 1 year.

-Hero still selling Splendour almost twice the number of passion. In Kerala roads you can see atleast 20 number of passion within 10 minutes journey, but not a single new Splendour. Is it super splendour also added in the number mentioned?

- Only 103 CBZ! Even Suzuki GS 150 R sold twice the number. I know new model came only in last month still it is very less number for that model.

-Still TVS selling decent number of Apache bikes.

Last month, Bajaj sold 2,67,841 motorcycles and had sold 2,46,828 units in July 2013. If possible I'll attempt to source the data for each model soon.

Looks like now Honda is leading Bajaj with a huge margin and amazing fact is that spotting a new Bajaj is rather easier than spotting a new Honda on the roads.
