Yamaha sales up by 5% in October 2012, thanks to Ray scooter

Yamaha India sold 39,368 units in October 2012 as against 38,229 units sold in October last year in the domestic markets. In the Export markets the company sold 10,154 units in October 2012 as compared to 9,011 units in the same month last year. The overall sales stood at 49,522 units in October 2012 while 47,240 units were sold in October 2011, thereby registering 5% overall growth.

Bajaj bike sales up by 3 pc in October

The country's second largest two wheeler maker Bajaj Auto today reported 2.88 per cent rise in its motorcycle sales at 3,61,186 units in October.

The company had sold 3,51,083 units in the corresponding month last year, Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) said in a statement.

BAL said exports, however, fell by 4.44 per cent during the month at 1,26,091 units compared to 1,31,948 units in October 2011, it added.

In the three-wheeler category, the company said its sales stood at 50,316 units against 44,191 units in the same month last year, an increase of 13.86 per cent.

Total vehicle sales of the company in the last month stood at 4,11,502 units compared to 3,95,274 units in the same period a year ago, a rise of 4.11 per cent, the statement said.

Hero MotoCorp October-November sales up 7 percent

Two-wheeler major Hero MotoCorp Thursday reported a 7 percent rise in sales in the festive months of October and November, at more than 11 lakh units. "Our retail sales in October and November crossed 11 lakh units earlier this week," said Anil Dua, senior vice president, marketing and sales, for Hero MotoCorp. "This represents a 7 percent growth over the same period last year."

Mahindra Two Wheelers sales up 26 pc in November

Mahindra Two Wheelers today reported 26 per cent growth in sales for November at 10,082 units against 8034 units in the corresponding month last year.

The cumulative sales in the April-November period stood at 79,910 units, the company said in a release here.

I think sales figures of Honda can increase if they start delivering their vehicles on time. Currently their vehicles have long waiting periods! I just inquired for Honda CB Unicorn, to my surprise showroom did not had any Unicorn on display, nor they had any brochure, nor a test drive was available! I was informed the onroad price directly with clear note that vehicle will be delivered after 2 months! I guess the waiting period for Activa is similar... and Suzuki is caching on the this pretty well cause many people are turning to Suzuki Access instead of waiting for Activa.

Bajaj Auto records highest ever Dec sale


“Motorcycles sales, were up 13% to 298,350 units, while commercial vehicle sales, were up 9% to 45,596 units,” Bajaj Auto said in a statement.
The company’s exports were up 5% at 126,016 units in December, highest ever December sales, it added.
