Incident faced by me today evening substantiates point 85 by manub22.

While returning from office, was on the right lane on a flyover doing a constant speed of 40 kms/hr. Now a fool in Santro overtakes me from left and then he realises there is an auto on the left lane in front of him. Instantly, without right indicator, he cuts into my lane to overtake that auto !!! I had no option but to break hard. Since I was at a low speed could stop immediately, or else !! I was furious. In the next signal met this fool again and rolled down the window to say 'use indicator while changing lane'. That man in the Santro is giving a wiked smile at me for this ! I moved off thinking no use explaining this guy.

At times I feel, when people in cars drive this crazy, there is no point in blamming truck fellows, cabies and rickshaw guys !!

Today I had an incident.

On my way home from work close to my home, a Tavera taxi overtook me from the left and inevitably pushed me into the other lane in front of an oncoming bus. I somehow managed to slow down and avoid the bus as the speed was not much anyway, but I got really furious and chased down that fellow, overtook him and forced him to stop on the left side of the road and gave him a piece of my mind. The only problem was he didn't even know what he did wrong.

But I felt good having done it. These taxi drivers think they own the road.

Last sunday(20.8.11), I gone to Arani from Vellore in my car with my friend after crossed city limit, that is a Double lane, single road. one old man started to cross the road in his cycle very slowly without noticing me & entered into my lane(Left lane). so i decided to overtake from right side. when i about to cross him, he suddenly started to come right lane. i got shocked & my friend started to shout at him.

I turned the car and got down from the road in right side to aviod that old man and came to road again.

But, that old man again changed his lane to left lane and enjoy his riding without knowing the situation. [frustration]

I don't know what to do with that old man and started Driving my car and discussed about that oldman with my friend

I've also seen this scenario many times with cycle riders and Rickshaw pullers [evil]. They don't see and just ignore the incoming traffic and any approaching vehicle. They just try to put all energy to get to the other side without even gazing on either side of the road.

These days I've noticed many cars with smiley balls (15-20) on the dashboard from one end of windshield to another. Don't know why people like those so many balls?

Most common things we (we the people)do using a 4 wheeler is we "follow our own rules" like,

1. Take turns at will
2. If a small car overtakes a big car, then the big cars for ego sake try to overtake small cars even if not needed.
3. Treatment given by big cars to small cars while coming from opposite side
4. Parking anywhere at will

I cannot agree more. Even the drivers of big commercial vehicles too are egoistic about it.

Rightly said.

Few months ago, we were driving Manza in Pune - Bangalore (NH4) highway and was in a hurry to reach Bangalore before its late night.

We were in Line 2, overtaken an Innova which was in Lane 1 and then there was a truck infront of us in Line 2. So our driver was trying to change the line with indicators on and also giving sufficient space to Innova so that he need not slow down. However ego factor worked and that guy accelerated like a bullet and blocked our entry. I told my driver to keep calm and back out. After 500 mts, we did overtake him again and this time he could not do anything since the road was empty.
