74) Cutting the lane without signal.

Or are we habitual that or all of us has simply forgotten.
Most of drivers’ didn’t bother to look in mirror and cut the lanes like knife on butter.

73) One more thing that is unique to India is misuse of hazard light.

I have seen so many vehicles driving with their hazard lights on when they about to enter a tunnel. Is it so dangerous to drive in tunnel.

Another innovative use of hazard light.
Well you are at a junction where you can go Left, Right or straight, and if you happen to go straight, hmm put that hazard lights on to signal you are going straight [frustration]. Seen these couple of times at traffic signals.

When its actually required to put on the hazard lights, people use branches, leaves, flags and what not.

Agree with you totally , i don't understand what's the logic behind that practice![frustration]

75. Hanging and dangling bumper just by a string or an electric wire, sometimes at both front n back.

76. Fake sun-roof stick on car roof and a sticker which shows a toddler ripping of the car's metal body and showing his face.

77. At railway crossing trying to be at first place no matter if you are on the opposite lanes, this happens at both the sides. Finally when crossing opens both side drivers struggles to go to the other side. Why such pain, why not stick to your own lane.

@Manub: I liked the point no 77 you have mentioned.
I myself have witnessed such things during our visit to Shirdi-Pandarpur...

79. You go to any small town or metro city you will see cattles, cows or bulls sitting or roaming freely on roads and highways. This sets a bad picture for our society, civic life, town/city and country. The local municipality does not even care to pull them away to remote areas or make an arrangement for them.

When I was in US and was having dinner with my clients, one of them mentioned this thing that he has observed this in Gurgaon, Delhi & Banglore while making joke on us [evil]. He further told that some researcher in US has done a research on this. The reason that cows & bulls sits in between or corner of roads was to get rid of flies from their body. The running traffic and its air flow makes flies to flew away from their body. Otherwise they have to wage their tail and that's a tedious job for those animals.

... interesting research, huh.

The most important and noticeable thing, nobody mentioned till now:

80. After purchasing a brand new car some or many people won't remove polythene covers from their seats, just in case to save them from dirt. No matter how much they slip on those seats, how much the polythene makes noise and how much discomfort they feel.

It doesn't looks nice, get another pair of covers man.

You are right about that, And by the way I just had a ride in a colleague's Dzire which has its polythene covers even after 8000 Kms and two months on the road. He hasn't removed the covers on the sun shades even.[lol] Guess car companies should start giving seats with plastic upholstery as an option.

Another thing I've seen is that people, no matter even if their new cars are provided with decent fabric seats, will always go and put on cheap looking rexin covers on them.

@Jalex:
You have hit the cord guy,you may not believe but once i found an Octavia owner who bought the car same day used for about two years,got a cheap looking fabric seat cover for those leather ones saying "sir why to spoil leather".

81):If a bus or truck is going in front of you,maybe the driver or cleaner is giving the hand indicator by blowing his hand one meter out of his window,still no one stops his/her car and tries to overtake from the same side.

Just observed this morning:

83: This guy on maruti 800 was coming from opposite direction and on my lane with headlights on. Rushing to go to other side, trying to stop me and acting like he had his headlights on and can do anything. I didn't gave him way to move further and instead move my car ahead. He started staring and gazing at me like I've done some sin and he is extremely unhappy about it. I show'd him middle finger and murmured F word and went away.

I've seen this very often & some times this also leads to road rage.

Don't know why people take such shortcuts, violate traffic rules, risks others lives in danger and show this behavior even if they are guilty.

@Fusion_Defusion:
I think you love chemistry as your title says so,wel whatever it may be,I am also very happy seeing a guy from Meerut here on the forum.

@Manub22:
The incident you have mentioned has made me remember my first accident.It was on the NH-24 while I with my four friends was going from Jaipur to Meerut,at about 5 a.m(since I make long drives at night only)when I was at the Mohan-nagar crossing with my Innova doing about 130 kph what I saw was a something like two candles approaching me exactly in the middle lane of the 3 lane road,I mean the car and I were in the same lane with me overtaking a line of trucks moving in the right lane.Well,what was good that the thing suddenly disappeared so I again pressed my accelerator(since I was in a hurry too).And the the hell broken out.
There were two guys and their girlfriends in a Noida(UP 16..) registered blue i20 thing and the guys firstly got their car in the right side of divider through one gap and then turned back from their itself with their car merely 60-70 meters away from min and the icing on the cake was that they haven't left any lane for me to move to save the accident as on my right there was still a truck and they have made their car block both the other lanes with their car perpendicular to mine,in other words I was going to hit them on the left side if I couldn't have applied the brakes.
Well,now you yourself can imagine an Innova doing about 130 kph and suddenly something appears at a distance of 60-70 meters away.What I did was applying my brakes as hard as possible and turn my car towards the right as the truck was nearly completely overtook and there was a ditch on the left.The truck driver was intelligent and had applied the brakes even before we could because he may be knowing what the situation is from his experience.As a result we missed the truck from some millimeters and our Innova hit the i20's rear bumper with such an impact that the i20 thing was again facing the traffic by turning 90 degrees and our front crash guard,one left headlight and front bumper were broken with some small dents.The truck hasn't tailgated us,maybe because driver knew it and stopped.

I stopped the car,came out in full anger and my friends accompanied me,gave the i20 guys a fantastic body massage and left them all at the place with a broken down car,even the rear wheels of i20 went out of place..:lol!:
