There should be some regulation about registration plates.
The govt has started issuing single reg plates for all vehicles in Delhi. Don't know when it will reach other states! [confused]
There is a regulation about registration plates. AFAIK, Puducherry is issuing the IND plates from long back. During the registration process, RTO will fix the IND plates in your vehicle.

Today evening, two vehicles ahead of me, a VERY educated and fashionable looking man, riding an Enfield with headphones in ears and without helmet chose a wrong place to make a U-turn. The place and his timing ensured that he and a car parked adjacently, blocked one full lane. If he chose, he could've driven a few more meters ahead and taken the U-turn. Few horns, this GENTLEMAN glanced in our direction, dismissed us ALL and continued to block. He got an earful from a Taxi behind me to move ahead finally. He was responsible for holding up at least 10 vehicles for nearly a minute. In what way his education has helped him [roll] ?

Last week, I was approaching a T junction from a narrow side road, needed to make a right and was sticking to my left with right blinkers ON. I've seen people making sharp right (to the wrong lane), drive along slowly and join the correct lane. I waited to enter the junction. Two restless bikers came abreast of me to my right and nicely blocked entry to the lane. In no time an Omni tried to enter. Bikers verses Omni now. Bikers didn't back-off, but the Omni driver started gesturing me to turn left. I ignored that and he started staring at me. I got irritated and got out. The Omni quickly moved along the main road, bikers took sharp right turn and all was well. My observations are:
  • Bikers are expected to ride THAT way.
  • Lone driver in a light colour Sedan is expected to be more accommodating.
  • They drive you nuts but expect you not to be nutty.

^ I experience everyday what you say,its usually two wheelers who cut into opposite lanes while taking & turn, but cabs & autos are also on the list.

Since here in Bangalore the road i stay on is pretty busy & narrow i have one nuisance everyday,a wide vehicle literally makes the opposite traffic to move to their extreme left & then there will be a moron waiting to overtake this wide vehicle but still blocking your lane, at the very last min after honking doesnt work, slam brake cos you cant run over the two wheeler & two wheeler nudges your mirror or avoids it by inches.

@Prads:
That diagram nicely explains. The best is to yield to them. We've to thank the Bikers for making us GOD (GOD forgives na?). Jokes apart, I generally yield to the Bikers, if it is raining/drizzling etc. If it is not, 50-50 I do not yield (depending on the Music or the vehicle). I ensure a bloody ball comes from their stomach to mouth. Some of them might learn that overtaking is to be done only when it is possible.

Once I was doing about 20-25kph in my bike and watching a biker in my mirror, as he was accelerating to overtake me in that split second before I and a bus were to come parallel. I held my head straight and pretended as if I was not aware of him (he didn't sound horn) and didn't reach for the brakes. Bikers do not yield to other bikers :-) The gentleman bus driver braked. The idiot braked and I also braked. He was JUST in front of the bus and to my right. I kept staring at him, as the Bus driver was doing ALL the talking job. Finally he said sorry to both me and the bus driver and I moved on. This drama happened ... where else but on a narrow BLR road.

Teach a few some hard lessons, and who knows, one day all drivers might learn to respect other driver's spaces.

It would be great if this starts happening,

BUT, you are real lucky you found a biker who apologized [frustration]

The job is simple, when i get into the situations like the diagram shown above,
I just turn the steering towards him and dart, and at little second will just fret him to get into his line. This happens unsually on the Toll gate road when im going towards Matthikere and the two wheelers coming on the opposite direction. All i get is an [anger] stare, but who cares for the one who doesn't care following traffic rules?

At night times, will just switch into highbeams so that nodbody dares to intrude in my line.

The Force traveller vans have become my biggest enemy on the roads now, once when i was in electronic city road, i saw these vehicles coming out of Infosys, all driving like mad horses, just didn't give a damn for them and blocked many vehicles line. This is the only way to teach them fools.

This is on the new year day.

A truck is parked on the one side of the road, and some stupid ladies(4 of them) were walking on the balance place of the road blocking my way. I just horned a couple of seconds to get the way. No response from any of the ladies.
Again honked continuously for almost 20 seconds, these thick skin ladies started to slowly to move. Now almost I got a place to move my city. When I drove the ORVM has hit the hand on the last lady (still they were chatting and not changed the human chain of walking style). I gave a harsh look at these ladies. I hope these ladies understood how to behave on rods.

I saw a TVS Scooty pep with 3 adults at night 7.30PM on city area of HYD-MUM Highway. Those 3 adults were ladies from the age around 25 to 35 years. And to maximum the driver of the scooty pep is speaking on phone [frustration].

I always wonder [surprise] on manufacturer of 2 wheeler, how come they design the 2 wheeler to carry 3 Hyderabad peoples whereas it accommodate 2 adults in other places places of the country (where I traveled)

exactly same type of situations always piss me off [frustration]. some people walk on roads like walking on their uncle's property.
I am totally sick off these morons. Thinking about installing air horn [gun] specially for these idiots.

Just watched an episode of the TV program CID Horror Special, and there was some headless biker (beheaded) who would chase some poor guy and all, but when I thought about it I found out that normal bikers are headless too, but in such a way that only the brains disappear. Oh, and about that air horn, it is illegal but maybe you can get an equivalent [evil]

I am facing the above said thing almost everyday!. Another similar situation is, there will be wide vehicles coming from opposite blocking his line and half of yours, a biker keep trying to overtake you at any cost through the nonexistent left [anger]. I don't know why most of the bikers on road love to overtake from the left!.
