Awesome video, loved watching it in that fast forward mode, especially enjoyed when you had to reverse - was thinking whats going on in your head doing that - were you actually going somewhere or playing pac man with endeavour ha ha!

Reversing for the first time was to gauge the strength of the sand to see how deep the ruts were made by tyres before attempting to venture into the river. The rest were for finding the way or avoiding oncoming tractor [:)]

It was almost like a video game when you changed lanes from left to right.
Felt surreal!
Thanks. The video came out really well all thanks to the Viofo Dashcam. Only thing missed is a drone capture for the river crossing [lol]

Hi A.G
Nice review. It was really helpful for me to know various features in the beast. I have driven my 3.2AT for around 5500 kms. I haven't tried any other mode apart from Normal mode. Not sure when to use all the gimmicks and features. I recently went to a hill station trip to Nainital but not sure what all things I can try there. I was in Normal mode all the way and didn't used anything apart from sports mode in ghat sections. Do we need to enable the HDC all the way when we are descending? Is there any thing else we should use like Differential locks on such places?

Thank you roby_dk.

For the tarmac / road use, nothing more than Normal mode is required. Infact during my trip to the hills, I too had used Normal mode only. It was only off the tarmac that the need for changing mode or engaging Diff lock or 4x4 Low was needed. These should never be used on-road or high traction surface which does not allow wheel slip as they can cause damage to the drivetrain components.
Do we need to enable the HDC all the way when we are descending? Is there any thing else we should use like Differential locks on such places?
The maximum speed HDC allows is 35 kmph above which it automatically disengages and turns off. To avoid the confusion of whether I have control or HDC is performing braking duties, I did not use HDC while coming down hills on the road. I used it only while going downhill off-road and it was a complete blessing as I could focus on steering away from the rocks while the HDC maintained a constant speed of 4 kmph.
Great review, thanks for sharing your experiences.
Thanks tinny9, I hope the good experiences continue.

Hi AG,
Congrats on your muscular Endy and my best wishes for millions of happy miles. All the pictures are astonishing, I wonder what camera/phone that clicked those crisp photos? Also curious to know the source of purchase for your Viofo A119?

Thank you Sharpshooter, parting with the Pajero Sport had been most difficult. On modding the Endeavour - looks like it would be slow and steady [:)]

Installing the Dual colour Fog Lamps

The Fog Lamps in the Endeavour are H8 35W bulbs. Due to the insufficient Low Beam, using it with the Fog Lamps was the only option. However, the mix of White and Yellow light looked pretty bad both from inside and outside. Changing the bulbs to white was simple but during Fog & rain, white light is useless.

Got the Dual coloured 35W LED bulbs which have both White & Yellow LED. By default they turn on to White colour and if they are turned off and back on within a short duration, they turn Yellow. This has given the best of both worlds - more light from from 35W LED with White light from Fog complimenting the White light from Low beam and the Yellow light is still available incase the weather changes plans.

Installing them was a bit of a pain. Though the connectors are exposed, the space between the fender lining & the bulb is just enough to manipulate the connector and bulb. Lying down on the floor to access the bulbs is the only option as doing by touch & feel was not easy.
