Better avoid such rash driving and leave well before.
Function can be attended any time, but safety is important as well.

Drive safe.

completed 9000 kms on the odo. no issues. going great guns. the corporate discount benefit promised by vw yet to materialise. rang up dealer several times who kept on promising me its delivery next week, next week....... finaly yesterday the guy who took up the phone said that the manager who was dealing with it has quit the job and he is the new guy and will ring me back after enquiry with the accounts dept. didn't call me back & i rang him up today. has asked me to call him up on monday by which time he will contact vw and let me know. hey guys i think iam not going to get the promise. i think i will have to write to vw. whom will i have to e mail ?its really unprofessional of the dealer to promise something and not living up to it. it was they themselves who promised it asked me and two of my colleagues to bring the required papers.

Looks like all VW dealers are screwing the customers one way or the other. My friend who also bought a Vento faced a torrid time with the dealer. BTW great to hear your car is going good , my friend faced some niggles already.

the left rear wheel of my car had been loosing air slowly over two weeks. today had the tyre removed from the alloy. and lo the culprit was found out - a small nail ahd piersed through the tyre by the edge of the tread. the fixed the puncture and has cautioned me that if the leak persists i would need to have a tube put in that tyre.
another development is that the dealer M/s Phoenix cars pvt ltd calicut has taken me for a ride. the corporate benifit that they had entised me is a goner.mates could you give me the email address of the volkwagen honchos whom all i should send my grievance to.has any one on our forum who have purchased volkswagen cars ever received this corporate benefit ?

@Smooth rider: By any chance do you have the written statement from the sales person on the order form of your car, where in they have entitled you for Corporate Benefit.

If he has accepted it in writing show it to them.
Its really sad the previous guy has left and the benefit was not passed to you.

And why wasn't the corporate bonus not deducted initially before you pay the Onroad price.

Its the right time now to escalate the matter to VW higher ups.

There are two ways of giving this corporate discount which varies across variants and models. In Mumbai my dealer deducted it from price itself but in Pune they first claim it from VW and then pass it to customer through a cheque later.

Now come to your point. You must have a sales contract signed by you and the dealer.( Printed in blue ink on white paper, standard format across dealers) and corporate discount will be mentioned there.

Now what you do is post your complaint on VW facebook fan page feedback tab@ Volkswagen India - Feedback | Facebook

with following details 1. VIN number of your vehicle 2. name and place of the dealer 3. Your problem. 4. Your mobile and email

You can also register your grivance on email id customer.care@volkswagen.co.in and also by giving your feedback here Contact us < Welcome to Volkswagen India

VW is earning a bad name due to these moron dealers.Rest assured, your problem will be solved soon.

did wheel alignment, wheel balancing, tyre rotation & removed the tyres from the rims and turned them around for rs700/. while it was being done i visited overdrive an accessory shop in kannur and enquired regarding gps. map my india was available there. the chap quoted a price of 7900/ and was willing to sell it for 7600/. is it worth it ? is map my india the best? are there areas in india where it may not function ? what is the cost of yearly upgradation of data thats needed ?

Many members of our forum are using Map My India. You should post the query and check out in this thread: http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...arts/5148-gps-navigation-system-your-car.html
