First non mechanical niggle.
The HVAC does not cool the cabin.
Experienced it en route to goa.
Called the helpline who suggested me a visit at mukhtar auto in Verna.
Went in to which they figured the problem in the evaporator or the internal ac unit which might have gone kaput.
Would have been covered in warranty but daddy was apprehensive about doing repairs outside home city. So postponed it to Mumbai.

Do tell them to check the AC resistor behind glove box, before opening the dashboard.

I don't think AC coil might have gone.

Was there any funny noise from the blowers? Tell them to check expansion valve if any sound persists.

Do post the updates.

yup there was funny noise coming out. like an empty cylinder.

they mentioned it as leaked gas.

came from goa in sweat today, heat and intermittent showers adding the effects.

booked an appointment for monday. will probably do the service along too

So that's a malfunction of expansion valve, though it was replaced proactively on my hawk. As soon as i reported that sound.

There was no burning smell inside the cabin or smoke right?

So that's covered under warranty, no need of removing the coil.

there was burning smell too. but it did not used to last long.

got my car today.

the condensor was replaced under warranty.

and the gas refilled along with it. all FOC.

the A.S.S cleaned the car internally and externally to a shine. i did not expect it but they did it voluntarily.

considering the condition i gave them(muddy after the first monsoons) and the condition i got it back,

i am happy with the service.

so after a break and now the AC cooling at full blast.

started to enjoy the drive all the more.

the cabin started to feel silent after the drive.

maybe its a pseudo effect from what i had got used to driving with the windows rolled down.[:D]

postponed service further since kms are still low.

I meant, for me a mesh seems to be the only solution. I have tried these options you have suggested too, but didn't work for me. They have cut the fog lamp wiring and the AC wiring a record 9 times. Multiple layers of taping have helped in protecting the AC wiring of late but could not save the fog lamp. So have just left it alone.[cry]

AFAIK black pepper can cause that itchiness with rodents.

that irritation can take them away from coming near my vehicle.

attaching the damage caused by the rats

OMG!!! That's scary[shock].

Did the vehicle move after this incident?

I am wondering how could have the rat managed to go beyond that engine cover.

yes the engine moved fine.

but there was diesel lekage under the gine and a small amount of smoke could be noticed beloe the engine (could be the hot diesel vaporising).

thankfully , the car was moving fine and had no apparent problems.
