had gone to check what the free service camp was all about.

since service was done recently , i was asked what my complaints were, they were none.

i pointed out that the pivoted rooflight one of the those pivoted rooflight was not proper.

got it replaced FOC.

and got my car washed and treated internally. all FOC :)

happy with the service received.

i have been told that the malad workshop will be undergoing renovation.

and they have bought a new workshop @ jogeshwari where xuvs and other mahindras will be service.
XUVs though will have a separate bay.

apparently the owners of G3 motors are also dealers in renault and nissan.

got that info when they were discussing about their new software needs to their software provider.

75 point checkup.

75 points of checks.
Actually i feel this service camp is for those who after warranty depend upon their local garage.
Maybe here they want to connect with those and suggest things which are not working right.

I feel there crowd at the service centre for complaints, or the total output everyday has reduced for them.

I had Gone there to get a free wash to my car [;)]
got the rooflight changed just to set things right. They were working alright.

also the interiors and tyres were polished.

Saw their appointment chart . The number of appointments were around 15 i guess. The actual presence was around 8.

been to A.S.S today.

there was suspicious noise coming from the top of the body whenever my car went over potholes at speeds in excess of 40kmph.

took it to the A.S.S who detected the noise at the top.
the rectification would take a day since it involves removing the inner panels and fitting them back again.

lets hope for the best.

These things are very normal and not to worry about . Just try and be there if possible when they fit things back or atleast check all the fittings carefully .

Is something loose up there ? What did they suspect ?

they suspect the spoiler joint which might have lost sealant/alignment (when the initial tree bark fell on the top.)

that is what i feel , did not mention it to them.

had got a call form them that they have found the fault and car would be ready by today evening.

Great just check the fittings properly ,because if its not fitted properly things might rattle .

[shock]
That should be the reason, I guess, as there isn't much to cause any rattle there other wise.
he mentioned there are linkages to give strength to the top.
its the linkages sealant which had gone off at some places.

which caused the rattle when going over speed humps. this too at high speeds else at normal driving this was not audible too.

they even found it impossible to recreate the sound once or twice.

so i did a test drive and reproduced it to them.

well as of now, the sound have all gone, the cabin is all silent.

was charged for the sealant liquid Rs 585.

labour charge was under warranty.
