What's the big hype left, its probably gonna have the same diesel heart as Amaze with a six speed gearbox.Or is it that Honda has some surprise for the last moment?

Looking at the new Honda city with those cycle tyres one thing is clearly understood guys..., the engine is tuned for mileage & mileage alone. But I am very much curious to know what kind of ride & handling it has? NVH levels..etc I am waiting for someone to review it soon.

@Volksjager: Petrol Honda city clocks 0-100 under 11 sec! So engine is not only tuned for mileage and only mileage. It has performance edge as well.

Yeah LoL I agree...Honda engine has a lot of potential especially i-Vtecs ! But I was talking about Diesel bro. I think they tuned the engine according to those skinny tyres for more mileage. And my doubt is, what if you upgrade your tyres to fatter rubber with the same rim size..Will it cope up well with the change.

To be more precise, Honda city is trained to run with canvas shoes, Can it run with woodland shoes [confused] (fatter rubber) & achieve the same 0-100 outputs & pulling power ?

All these doubt's are lobbying in my head. Even for the petrol, do you think it can handle well with those 175 tyres.? And suspension setup is yet to be known. Tyre upgrade will affect the FE too, especially the petrol vehicle. That's the only possible reason I see for Honda to put in those skinny tyres.

I will probably advance book a Petrol one in Pune next week

The SA has said, waiting period of Petrol and Diesel shud be same as he has 50:50 advance bookings on Petrol and Diesel

This is same @ all Pune dealers (Deccan, Crystal)

The Ertiga (if refreshed in the Auto Expo in Feb) can still win the race for me, if the Honda Guys go useless or pathetic on un-neccesary hype in the WAITING periods of New Honda City

I can probably wait till March end Maximum

Guys, I find no protective plastic cladding inside the wheel arch...except the mud flaps. Is this normal [confused], because I checked it in my Fiat & it has it.

I marked the pics in red for your detailed observation.

To my surprise, while I was editing these pictures I found out that the Diesel city is having Bridgestone tyres & petrol city is having MRF tyres...(why the difference?)

And the second think which I didn't like is the naked boot lid. I am trying to be a little positive here, May be Honda might have forgotten the boot lid cover in the factory itself [:)]

I feel Honda shouldn't ignore such minor things, I am expecting Honda City's to come with a boot lit cover in January..

Some more info is now available for Honda City Disel car. Its a 6 speed gearbox for Disel engine unlike 5 Speed gearbox on Amaze.

This is what I felt when I heard that Honda city Diesel has 6 gears [lol] (no offence to anybody) In cities like Hyderabad & Bangalore I never got a chance to slot the 5th gear, I hardly used!!! Honda is giving 6th gear means full mileage on highway. It will put a big smile on "Kitna Dethi hai" freaks...[cheers]
