Windows phones like nokia lumias although very well in your budget and doing all the things you are expecting are out since they don't have dual sim options .

So considering dual sim phones as must let's see what we can get

Below or till 15k range you will get android handsets like the newly announced sony xperia M but the camera is just 5 mp.

Rest dual sim phones come from samsung like the grand and some other models which fellow members will surely guide you .

There are other mobile phones like celkon , carbon , lava , micromax . I personally don't suggest this phones to anyone for their bad software upgrade history and bad a.s.s overall .( some users are maybe happy )

If you are still ok with those brands you can consider them .

Go for Micromax Canvas HD you will get it all within 15k trust me on that one as myself I was against it but now I am using it and loving it more each passing day. Quad core processor works best for gaming and multiple usage. Battery back up is decent enough as any other Samsung or Sony android powered device would be even for battery you can go for a power bank. Comes with a year warranty. Been using it around for a week and its pretty much the best in its class. No samsung or any other international brand provides such great tech at this cost. And has service stations around many places in metros. Simple why pay more when you can get the same facilities in much cheap prices and those are Indian companies even the phone works for two years you have got returns what you paid for. Anyway in these days of advanced technical progression you won't use a same phone for more than 2 years. All the best and would really like you to consider this Micromax Canvas Hd or Karbonn S5 titanium.

As you are interested in apps, I suggest you to go for Xperia M or the Xperia L. As AHC said, go have a check on all the three phones(720, M, L) in the store.
Also, when it comes to music, Sony is well known.

Re: Buying a New Smart Phone

It will differ from phones. Miro is not a good phone I guess.
Try those phones in the store.
BTW you want speaker quality or sound output(to headphones) or a good Music store?

Sony Xperia L Review - YouTube

Viewing angles are fairly average and when you tilt the device you’d notice colors losing their saturation. Even without tilting the device though colors look a bit bleak and that is especially noticeable in the blacks that tend to look greyish rather than pitch black. Brightness is sufficient for outdoor use especially if you manage to get the device at the right angle to avoid reflections.
Sound output through the loudspeaker gets very loud. It is definitely annoyingly tinny, with little bass to it and sounds just like an average smartphone speaker just louder.
Sony has put some effort in resurrecting its Walkman brand into the Xperia lineup with a revamped music and video player applications. Both are very well made and offer a solid amount of options.
The Walkman music player looks great, can be controlled straight from the lockscreen and even has a widget. It will automatically grab album art and lyrics, and comes with fine tuning options like an equalizer and bass booster.
The Sony Xperia L comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor for improved low-light performance.

It’s a decent camera but nothing more. Colors on most images are overblown and they skew towards a warmer than normal tonality with a purple undertone all across. Dynamic range is not great. Looking at fine detail you’d often notice images turn out soft and spongy.

Re: Buying a New Smart Phone

also, if you are so concerned with the audio quality , it would be better if you spend around 1k on better 3rd party earphones and couple it with your phone.

the most reasonable of them being the soundmagic MP-21.

P.S : the earphone i mentioned is just a starting point of spending on better earphones. if you can spend more , then sky is the limit

Re: Buying a New Smart Phone

I agree with superbad, you have to buy good pair of earphones for best quality sound. And on speaker it'll be sufficient. On my SP I don't use more than 60% on speakers.

And seriously 1gb ram is a must in android.

You should buy xperia l or 720. Did you check the phones?

Re: Buying a New Smart Phone

good choice mate [thumbsup]
lets come to the technical part - Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8227
cpu @ Dual-core 1 GHz Krait

krait cpu's are actually very near to cortex a15. This cpu has much better performance than 1 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 cpu's present in the s3 mini, grand and galaxy s2.

gpu @ Adreno 305 : gaming will be a joy

keeping in mind the price its launching, its more value for money and dont forget its a Sony :)

yeah purple is super cool, next in line would be white/silver
