I saw the two phone but i like samsung grand quottro very much and heard that xperia has high maintance cost and we cannot change the battery. Why did you does not like samsung grand quottro please tell me?

By the way i also have to buy a phone as soon as possible
and i am also upgrading from a piece of **** called galaxy y
In fact i have used galaxy y and galaxy y duos in past 2 years and i know that these phones are rendered useless an year after their purchase.Hence i dont wanna buy budget androids from samsung anymore

I think micromax canvas HD is the best bet.Even if it lasts for 2 years i will recieve my money's worth.
Why u ppl arent suggesting canvas HD??
Is it due to ASS of micromax ?
Even if it doesnt have proper ASS the phone should still last 2 years.

MY friend got this and guess what that so called HD screen got Horizontal lines within first week and he don't know how it happened

the hardware on this phone is the same as galaxy s2.

so relatively the hardware is much better than the 10k+ phones being sold in retail.

you can try the micromax canvas HD, but some have had hardware issues it with especially the mic.

my sister has a canvas 2 from dec and has had no issues with it till date.

But MMX still has some ASS this phone has nothing

i mean pantech will have no ASS at all Micromax has some service centers to go to if something goes wrong

mmx makes good phones but with no updates for glitches and all , the using experience is pathetic. if you are spending 12k or less and getting same almost specs as the market leaders then one should not be complaining.
current market price of
mmx canvas 3 hd > 12k
s3 > 26k
s4 > 35k

if you plan to keep your phone for say 1 year at least from today,
mmx will sell for @ 6k so loss will be 6
S3 will sell @ 13k so loss 12k
S4 will sell @ 20k so loss 15k

i just posted tentative figures, market dynamic may change drastically also.

I understand and totally agree with your calculations
But the thing is i am a student so asking 12k from parents is ok.Asking 27k will lead to drastic results.But i can still take 12k and save up for s3 instead of buying micromax now .
What will you suggest ???

i have not used mmx so cant comment much but i have heard horror stories of people whose phones end up in mmx service centers and they take 30 to 40 days for repairs.

nowadays all major sites/companies offer phones for emi;s where depending on the promotion, say on 6 months emi's, they do not levy any interest. so it makes sense to invest in a S3 and be hassle free.

Good idea.But i will gather the courage to ask my parents for S3 They will be paying the EMI's too .So Why not pay the whole amount upfront then.

If you are paying 26K for S3 i will suggest you Xperia SP instead @22K

Guys need a quick help, I am looking to buy a couple of android phones and tablets :-

For phones budget is around 10k each, need android ones with atleast 1 gb ram. I was thinking going for the low cost brands :-
Karbonn Titanium S5
Intex i5 Quad core
Micromax Canvas HD

Can you advice amidst this or any others that come close to this price ?

For the tablet around same budget, but should have 1GB RAM and sim slot as a minimum and a decent screen(HD possibly).

Micromax a better brand among the rest in Phone segment. ! I will vote for Micromax . Nokia 520 if you are looking for windows phone (which you are not)

10K tablet? size 7" or 10" ? You will get Samsung 7" with a sim slot around 10-11K. (i think it is 512mb ram)

10" tablet you may not get a decent one at this price.
