That's really awesome..do share your long drive experience...will consider it for my cousin if it turns out to be good..he prefers Indian cars :D
I have completed around 850 kms of long drive journey(to and from) this weekend. Felt that the drive was very comfortable. I did drive Swift in long drives and Tiago is no lesser than Swift in terms of comfort and ride quality.

During onward journey, travelled with 1 person, AC on 80% of the time and in Eco mode 80% of the time. Around 50 kms of that drive was in city. Checked as per tankful method and able to extract 23.1 kmpl. Really happy with that mileage as my Tiago XZ (Diesel) was only 3 days old at that time. This will definitely improve further.

Maintained mostly 80-85 kmph around 2000-2100 rpm in the above journey. Never crossed 90 kmph.

During Return journey, travelled with 3 persons and full luggage, AC on all the time and in Eco mode 95% of the time. But this time, did a little spirited driving and maintained mostly between 85-90 kmph and 2000-2200 RPM. Never crossed 100 kmph. Able to get 21 kmph based on tankful method. Considering the more passengers with full luggage, it is expected that 1-2 kmpl mileage drop will be there.

Also, I am taking her to my daily office commute of 15 km(Total of 30 kms to and from). This is really a good city commuter. The ample low end torque helps me to crawl during slow moving traffic very easily and due to its compact size, makes it more likable to drive in city. As for as city mileage is concerned, I have not checked with tankful method but is is showing 15.1 kmpl in MID average as of now.

Definitely recommended for anyone who is looking for a compact hatchback, with a budget of around 5-6 lakhs, looking for a better city commuter and a good highway mover, along with safety and most importantly the value it offers.

Eagerly waiting for your exhaustive review of Tiago. Have already checked all the youtube videos on your youtube page.
My review? I have posted a preview of the Tiago and the driving experience of the Tiago Petrol in separate posts on this thread itself.
I don't do exhaustive reviews as I am yet learning to review. There is already a good enough review of The Tiago by Akash and there soon will be an exhaustive review of the Diesel by Vipul.

That's pretty much good..I had driven the swift which is more or less good for long distance journey but not the best. My cousin had a Tata Indica few years ago and he had a terrible experience with the car as well it's service centres. I hope Tiago is much more different in these terms..at least with the aftersale services

I just dropped off my Tiago for first service this morning and noticed special care by the service team to Tiago. While the service rep was taking notes of my issues, three other folks were nearby following my words closely. This to me is an indication of improvement on the ASS side. Lets hope for the best [:)]

I also took my car for the first free service yesterday to Concorde motors, ECR, Chennai. I was told by the Service Advisor that Tata had informed that all Tiago customers need to be given special care. Though it was just a check-up, the CRM manager came to me while delivering the vehicle and asked for the feedback of the vehicle and promised that TATA A.S.S is striving to improve in all aspects. He also handed me a nice gift ( TATA branded car perfume). Felt like King and I am very happy for choosing TATA.[clap]

I also use my Diesel XZ Tiago for my daily commute to office. I travel from Velachery to Siruseri SIPCOT. That is around 50 kms per day to and fro. The MID shows a mileage of around 18 KMPL in City mode and around 19 to 20 KMPL in Eco Mode. Very happy with it. I also got 26.5 KMPL on a long drive of 440 kms with 100% AC and 80% ECO mode with 3 on board and medium luggage. All the above figures are according to the MID. I didn't do a tankful to tankful method check yet.

As we speak, the car has done 1450 Kms and I just finished my first free service yesterday at Concorde, ECR.
I'm also planning to take it to Concorde, ECR on Thursday. Mine has clocked 1200 kms.

Have they changed engine oil or they changed anything? How long did you leave the car for service?

I would suggest you to wait for 1 more week if you want to take it to Concorde ECR. The reason is, currently their automatic car wash system is under construction and they are not washing any cars there. Even for me, they didn't wash the car and asked me to visit them for a free wash after a week or so after calling them to confirm that the car wash system is working. If you still want to take the car there, please call and check if the car wash system is operational.

I just booked the appointment thorough TMSC android app and didn't call them before going. But they informed about the car wash problem before accepting the car for servicing.

Nothing was changed in the first service. It was more of a checkup than a service. They just checked all fluid levels, all electricals and cleaned the ac filter and cleaned the interiors and exteriors of the car. The service advisor asked me if I have any specific complaints about the car. I complained about the interior roof cabin light flickering sometimes. They checked all the door locks and cleaned them. That issue is fixed.

Overall it took slightly more than 2 hours for the entire thing.
