Courtesy motoroid reader Yogendra Kumar Sharma has re-imagined the hatchback to make it look dark, evil and much, much more desirable.

Me too, confused.
Is PU leather different than art leather ?

I discussed heating problem with my SA & got reply like I am worrying unnecessarily.

Pramod
I also have the same question which I asked in the other thread but didn't get a reply.
Can any of the owners tell us about their opinion on the seat cover ?
Whether do I need to buy seat covers or not. In my 2 visits to the showroom, I liked the seats and felt that simply putting a towel on the seat will do. (I need something on the seat as sometimes i go for a outdoor game, etc.)

Berry Red News Update:
Possible delay for red production: From a higher official at a different auto company, same color/paint applied to plastic and metal part of the body appears differently, so it takes time to match the color to make it look perfect all across. This some times takes signifcant amount of time. It also involves some other process (which didn't get inside my brains), but as of now it seems this could be one of the reasons.

Anyway, good news is Berry Red production has been started as per one facebook group member, who claims to be working for Tata, so red will be coming out very soon; in fact, some might have gotten the sticker "tested ok" already [:D]

Guys, Yesterday during my drive, i just touched near to 100Kmph and I smelled some wire burning smell inside the cabin . Then Immediately I reduced the speed to 80kmph and after that the smell went off. Did anyone noticed such behavior. I read in another forum, the similar behavior reported by another person?

Hi @Jaset, congrats on your Tiago, as a thumb rule for the first 3k km, do not cross 2.5k rpm, as the engine should be bedded properly, this applies to all new vehicles, so do take care.

Hi Guys, I am looking to buy a diesel Tiago XZ. I am little confused after hearing the news about Tiago price hike in coming days.

When I enquired about Maruti Ritz ZDI, with current discounts, I can get the car for 7.7L OTR. If Tiago Price increases by say 30K, it will be approx 7.35L OTR in Bangalore.
In additional 35 K approx, I will get the following:
1. Fiat MJD DDIS Engine
2. Better highway performance
3. Little better Space.
4. Good resale value.
5. Better Service?? ( I never own a Maruti till date, I am happy with the Tata Service Centers)

I will be loosing the following.
1. Nice Interiors.
2. HK ICU.
3. Feeling of owning a fresh design vehicle.

I am planning to keep my car for 5 years, Usage pattern will be 1600 Kms per month, with 1000KMS of highway driving.
What would be the right choice for me?

Hello People,

Couple of weeks back one of my friend booked TD and Tiago came to my office for TD. This guy does it for almost every new release even though he has his own[;)]. It is silver color diesel XZ variant. He asked me to come with him and I agreed because I got some free time and I am big fan of Messi and Ratan TATA ji. I never dreamed of this combo on same page but surprised when I saw Messi advertising for TATA product.

We went for almost 30 kms for TD. When we opened the door I felt this could be premium hatch. But when I saw the price list, its the moment for my love at first site with the car. Even though I don't know how to drive, I was curious and tried the machine. You have to believe, I drove it for 10 Kms without any jerks.

Immidiately we went to Maruti showroom and tried Celerio and K10 not impressed with their low quality products.

I went to showroom with my family and booked the Tiger(sorry Tiago) straight away (Espresso Brown color one). Planning to join driving school since I got 2 months waiting period in Hyderabad.

You will be losing
1. Build quality
2. Exclusivity
3. Better looks
4. And you would be having an outdated car.
Tiago is an awesome car (as reported by owners in whatsapp group). Even after price hike of say 30k, it would not affect it's value. There is absolutely no comparison of such a modern and tested car(tiago) and that 4-5 years old car which was based on even older platform. Buy the tiago!

I would suggest you go for the Tiago because:
a. Price may not be increase by 30K for the Tiago atleast in the near future. Tata may start with 3K increase and slowly they will do it. So price differential between Ritz and Tiago Top end will be more.

b. You will have ABS, Airbags and all the bells and whistles the Tiago has (which is definitely higher that Ritz) So it will be steal deal.

c. Ritz has a MJD engine where as Tiago has a new Revotorq engine. I have exprienced the REvotorq and it is great engine with great mileage. It is also fun to drive. So again here Ritz with MJD is good but Tiago with Revotorq is also a good choice.

d. Ritz is a old car now mostly relegated to the Taxi segment and Tiago is new car So Tiago is prefereble. Price wise, Tiago should be able to fetch a decent price too. It has generate nice buzz in the market. So by the end of 5 years, Hopefully tata would have generated a much better brand value in the passenger car segment so resale will also be good. in the next 5 year probably Ritz would have been discontinued.

So all in all Ritz vs Tiago Its Tiago for me. I would you test both the cars back to back see the comfort vs performance and then take a decision.

PU Leather or polyurethene Leather is same as Art or aritificial leather. Bascially a plastic looking like leather. I have installed in my car and believe me when it gets hot its like sitting on tava. I use Jeans most of the times to my backside is not that affected. more so this was observed predominantly in these 2 /3 months where temp were high upto 43C. Other wise I have no complaints on the art/pu leather covers. Infact I like it because I have not killed any animal for the leather. (you see animal cruelty prevention)
