First of all THERE SHOULD NO GOVERNMENT RULE SHOULD PLAY WITH ITS CITIZEN SECURITY OR SAFETY ..There is hardly any country in world to have it as it rule.
1) Swift Dzire - Cramped boot space , rear leg room ,poor build quality .
2)Honda Amaze- Very light quality of metal used , Plastics bad quality ,basic features missing .
3)Tata Zest - Poor After sales , niggles or problems. Cant Comment on other aspects as I have not seen car
4) Hyundai Xcent - Poor rear headlights very small , Front similar to Grandi 10, Poor petrol mileage .They only provide good features not good engine !

No votes for Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire ?

I voted for Dzire, though I own an Amaze! Reliable, comfortable, decent FE, good ASS, best resale value, etc are many pluses for it. Only minus is chopped off boot and slightly less boot space.

What did you vote for? There is only 1 vote for Dzire as of now, and that seems to be from me :P

I see many people still in the old perception that 'Maruti cars are not well built always!'
For your notice, Maruti's current all modern cars are well built and has good quality. You can see or hear for yourself when you shut the door of the Dzire/Swift and Amaze/Brio.
And as you can see, Tata is also working hard to improve it's design, quality and service. So no comments on that until we get to feel it.

Sales will likely be
1. Dzire
2. Xcent
3 &4. Amaze/ Figo sedan
5. Zest
6. IndigoCS
If the Zest is cheaper than the others by >20-30K then it may (may) climb to third

my choice is always TATA

this time iam supprised to see that Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is a market leader in terms of sales chat but till now not even vote aquired thats really shocking to me

I got a dzire in Sep 2013 blown away by its interiors.. I believe it is (interior) still a class by it own - Miles ahead of others except Zest

I vote for Zest.
Front for figo sedan is aggressive where as rear is spartan. Zest scores over all.

+1. The rear of the figo sedan looks rather bland when compared to others.

Without seeing the car you have a opinion that Zest has niggles, problems. Do you own any TATA cars? Even few Skoda,VW,Audi has few niggles. So does all Skoda cars are bad? Please don't create a bad opinion of Indian Brand.

ASS is mostly depends on how you interact with their team. Be polite, respectful and let them know what you wanted. TATA ASS and teams are not bad, its our perception, give them proper respect and be polite and you will get first class service, its just human nature.

Well lets break down unique thing these cars offer.

Maruti Dzire - It has good looking dashboard and is well equipped. Its rear design is most ugly. Space is tight in the rear.

Hyundai Xcent - It too has good looking interiors and is loaded with features. The 1.1 Diesel might not interest people looking for performance without compromising drivability.

Honda Amaze - Engine is by far the most powerful and efficient. Its very tough to get both combinations right, Honda have done it with ease. Interiors are a bit dull, i can live with it since I'll be driving a car and not looking at how dashboard looks how is the design.

Tata Zest - Looks very good from out. I am really impressed by it. After long time i have shown some interest towards a Tata car.

Ford Figo Concept - Its front looks like Aston Martin( which is a good thing) and rear looks a bit dull. But its engine will be like the current Figo good in terms of drivability and efficiency.

So after all these, its all about what customers prefer. A noisy engine shouldn't rule out a buyer from buying Amaze. Underpowered engine will not put buyer away from Xcent. Small boot and cabin will not see Dzire being rejected. So it all depends on what consumers need. Last but not least, a buyer must be able to diffrentiate cars which he has selected and should not buy what neighbour, friends etc buy. He must buy a car which he feels best after all the filters he has done.

It is too early to pass any judgement. Initial impressions, just on the basis of launch photographs?

I would wait for the market launch and then vote.

From most Tata car owners i have seen their car broking down for most of the time ,Spare parts not available .I know Maruti cars are well build( except Alto 800 and other indian only manufactured cars ZERO Stars By Euro Ncap ) .Its about quality of metal for cost cutting . Hyundai i20 has better quality of metal .

My 12 year old Safari never broke down in middle of road and i never cried for spare parts even though it is 2.0lt model,
Tata provides long term support for spare parts, common problem with my old safari was electrical fuse blowing problem thats it,
long ago TASS was little bad since they managed my truck management fellows from past few years their response to the customer has been improved.

Maruti never built strong cars like TATA, making dents on Maruti is very easy, my 7 month old Ertiga got dent on its door already

tata cars are know for their robust metal body shells do you know that and each and every tata space parts are available in every cornel of india and they are cheap in price thats the biggest reason tata cars dominate in cab market best example is TATA INDICA.

For me TATA ZEST and Honda AMAZE boot looks well integrated even TATA indigo CS too
