Guys I also thought of booking a Zest(buying one in fact) but the dealer here 'Concorde Delhi' is just not willing to be serious I guess. No response from their side in three days!

Now will look for some other dealer else some other car maybe.
Do they have any constraints over delivery (not production)[;)]
I heard car is still not available in the showrooms even after one week of launch[frustration]

I mean:
They are yet to call me back to just give me a word of the exact on road price and expected delivery time of the car. Try out Toyota or some other brand and you will find the difference.

When I was asking for new polo 1.5 the situation was same.
BTW you are looking for TATA car is big thing [surprise]

There is too much rush and TATA simply didn't got time to manage Test and Demo cars.
In pune the showroom got 1 Diesel car on Demo and 1 petrol model as Test car.
Actually people are interested to drive diesel and those cars should be swapped IMO . [:)]
The SE called today and informed that they are going to get a diesel test car today.

When TML launched the vehicle it should haven been available for display and TD from the next day in showrooms. Its very simple, if you see a shampoo add in TV commercials, You would ask for it the next day in a near by shop. If its not available you loose the first set of customers. Now imagine the shopkeeper telling "no idea when it will arrive saaar"

Tata have come up with an outstanding product but failing on delivering it at the right time.
Right from Auto Expo 14 which happened at Feb these cars garnered a very good response from across the automotive hub. After 5 months TML did a media drive and the reviews started coming out well and promising for the Zest. With this input TML should have geared up on the launch and made sure at least they have some surplus to cater.

Lets agree that AMT has some supply issues but what about Revotron ?
You should have had the Revotron line of cars at least.
Even after a week of launch the TML dealer at Concorde Motors(Mysore Rd B'lore) has no idea on when the vehicles are available for TD.
I got a call for variant and colour confirmation. Since I wanted to see the colour and then decide, I don't know how I'll book.

If they don't ramp up these things quickly they are loosing their share again.
Wake up TML, wake up [frustration]

TATA preponed launch only to place a doubt among potential new car buyers in Indian market. They got attention midst of a new i20/Polo/Punto/Mobilio. Its a good strategy IMO, customers were anyways going for a non TATA car, if they manage to grasp even 20% of them then its a good move.

Very interesting point told by SE [glasses]

TATA WILL NOT SELL ZEST TO TAXI MARKET, IF ANY DEALER FOUND DOING SO ITS DEALERSHIP WILL GET TERMINATED.

Can anyone confirm the same ?
