Hi! I'm new here. I own an XT petrol Jan 2015 moddel. My zest has no major problems so far. I have 3 things to ask/say:

1) I get a clunk/clicking noise on the right front suspension when I go over a smooth bump on a relatively low speed (~5km/hr). I have shown it to Concorde motors in Kochi as well as Urs Kar at Mysore and both checked and said everything seems to be OK. But the problem still persists. I saw people with similar problem somewhere on the internet but can't find the page now. Does anyone else face this issue and what is the solution?.
2) as Snehel_c mentioned, I too have a same problem and the service guy told it will be replaced under warranty. I haven't got the time to go and replace it.
3) is there any way to get the new ICE on old zest, as I don't have GPS on my XT.

Also I would like to know which Bluetooth OBD is compatible with zest. I am planning to leave it connected to the port and cover the casing next to the steering wheel

Hi everyone,

Recently we had Zest Mileage run in our city Dehradun.
Mine is a petrol top version.
in ECO, it gave 24 KMPL (petrol tank full method). MID showed 19 KMPL.
But the winner had 35 KMPL.
Amazing.
A well organized event by Oberoi motors dehradun.

MY RT Zest XT runs on 23/12/2014 version. My recent visit service visit was on September 2015, and was informed that the aforesaid is the latest for the audio headunit without navigation assist. Hope solved your query.

I have booked an XMS petrol platinum silver colour.

Is the ECU update required for the latest 2015 models as well ?

Many have complained about loss of pick up and engine stalling for the car

Is the issue prevalent for all zest petrols ?

After the ECU update, you should not face this problem.
As you have booked now, this update would present from the factory itself.

@The Motor Romeo
The dealer showed me 3 cars
for the first one its 2014 model and he is giving a discount of 50,000 apart from the regular year end discounts
They have jan 2015 models only
Other dealers have models that are newer but they don't have discounts. I want to know which models have ECU updated from the factory itself.

@viky joshi
I am getting different quotes from different dealers
however mallik was good and offered 6.7L for the xms petrol model
Is the quote good or can I try for further negotiation
I need to check with mallik about the month of manufacture

The ECU updates were being pushed from the months of Jan-Feb.
So, it will be safe to assume that a March model will have it from the factory.

But if you are getting an awesome deal, then do think about it.
Because these updates can be done later as well.

Hello All,

Booked a sky grey XMS RT manufactured in December 2015 ( After verifying the VIN number ) on Saturday with National Automobiles, Hadapsar Pune. Taking the delivery in January as for obvious reasons.
Currently TATA is offering raining discounts on the same and I got a discount of around Rs 70000 on it plus I got a very price for my old vehicle details are as follows

On Road Price for Zest in Pune City ( Include 2% LBT ) : Rs 6,69,000
Cash Discount : Rs 15,000
Zero Dep Insurance Free : Rs 24,000
Exchange Bonus : Rs 35,000
Corporate Discount : Rs 5,000

Total Discount : 79,000

Price offered for my CNG coverted Zen MPFI VXI ( 2005) : 90,000

I am the second owner and the car had done 92000 Kms on Odometre.

So the landing cost of the Zest is Rs 4,98,000

One query : My monthly running is 2200 kms. I personally wanted to go for diesel but after looking the ban in delhi on diesel vehicles opted to go for a diesel vehicle. Is there any option of converting it to CNG ( Keeping in mind it’s a turbo charged engine) in future.

In my Zen I had fitted the CNG from one of the best vendors in Pune. I called her and asked her about on option of installing a CNG kit in Zest.
Her reply was yes that is possible. They are also providing a test kit to TATA motors in affiliation with Lovato to TATA Motors Pune plant where they are performing the testing for the same.

Coming to your query, If you are running 2200 kms per month then it purely boils down to the number of years you are looking to use the car.

Diesel has a premium of 1-1.3 lakhs over the petrol variant and with a running of 10,000 kms per year it would take you 6-7 years to break even with that running.

2200*12 = 26,000 kms approx so you will break even after 3-4 years approx.

So if you want to use the vehicle for more than 5 years its better to go for diesel.

Did you include accessories and gold AMC in the total on road price ?

I got a quotation of 5,50,000 on road in hyderabad after deducting my santro's value of 1,05,000 and other discounts as you have mentioned earlier.

Your quotation is baffling. Did you get any other discounts ?

I am not sure how there's a 50,000 difference in the prices of pune and hyderabad.[frustration]

Hi I m new to this forum, and was planning to book xms rt sky grey on Christmas day at aadya motors Bangalore but was told by the dealer that they do not have any in their stock and instead can get me xm white color. Can someone let me know if the scarcity actually exist or the dealer is pushing that model by creating artificial scarcity
