Hello there,

How many times have you faced this issue? I guess it should be a minor one which can be easily rectified by TASS. Just speak to your service adviser.
hi, this has been occurred 3-4 times till now. Also i have noticed one thing that when i lock with key manually ( not with remote button), this alarm thing does not happen.
This is just my observation,i am not sure.[confused]

Hi Guys,

I have Zest XT and its my first car. So, I am not sure if this is a common problem in Zest or not. But, I have noticed that water keeps accumulating in the tail lamps of my car. The service guys had cleared the water during the first service. But the problem still persists. Is there any preventive or permanent solution for this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Buddy is there a minor crack on the tail light glass? Also water might accumulate in tail lamps if the assembly is not properly aligned i.e the plastic casing of the lamp and the glass part have a slight gap in them. Lastly, if in case the boot carpet area near the lamp is not properly fixed then too water may seep in the assembly and eventually the glass shall become darker.

Hi Akash,

Thanks for the quick reply.

No, I did not see any cracks. Regarding the other 2 reasons, I am not sure and I will have to take it to the service station (maybe its something I can check myself, but I am not going to take a chance). I shall do that this weekend. Hope they are able to fix it.

Hello guys,
I bought tata zest xt revotron on 14th oct. I am facing problem.
When i lock the car with remote, after some time (say half hour or one hour) the alarm goes on (same alaram when we open boot without unlocking the car) . this alarm goes on until i press the unlock button from the remote. This alarm thing happens only sometime ,when i lock the car. Today itself it happened twice.
I am new to the system of car, as this is my first car. If somebody knows why this alarm goes on ,help me .. I am annoyed now. Please help me.
Hey one of your door ajar warning sensor either in the boot/bonnet/or doors has gone kaput.Probably because of rains it has shorted. You need to replace it.Trouble is finding which one.Now if u don't replace it soon all the neighbours will know you bought a new car [;)].Take it to TASS.Oh TATA when will you replace these stupid vendors.sigh.

Its mentioned in the user manual of zest that it happens by itself. If the issue persists for longer duration it has to be taken to the service station. Please refer to the manual and you will find it being written.

Thanks Veb 1242 .The reason I am reasonably confident on this is one of the Arias I know had a similar problem in the rains. No TASS couldn't figure it out as there was no error code or door ajar warning signal. However the problem stopped when the bonnet sensor was disconnected. And later replaced. But I am quite disappointed that TATA have stuck with the same vendors.I can truly understand your pain having bought a new car.The seat belts and sensors in Tata cars are not upto mark.Blame indifferent product quality on part of vendors. The problem is TATA great reputation of being good employers. Most of their problems are down to vendor quality and slipups on the shop floor.I have always believed that the way forward or should I say fast forward is to employ people from European or Japanese plants with experience at their quality control division. They can train our Indian counterparts.Hope Tata Motors reads all these and thankfully from what I see service is improving. You need to make a few calls to get these taxi sensitised dealers moving but at least the effort from the company needs to be appreciated.

Posting a fresh experience here when we are discussing service of tata motors. I think not much has changed and there is no complaint escalation system. You just write to customercare@tatamotors.com and that's it. Either they reply, or they don't. You cannot expect them to reply. Now, this happened to me just last week. My new Zest XMS was due for first free service and as I was travelling to Goa for this month, wanted to get the car serviced at one of the service centres in Goa as per the published service centre details in the booklet provided with the car during delivery.
Wrote to customercare@tatamotors.com on Wednesday asking for authorised service centres as on date in North Goa, but did not get any reply for 2 days. On friday morning tried calling the JKRS service centre in Goa for appointment and none of the phone numbers were working. How "typical TATA" I thought and then dialled the toll free Tata customer care 18002097979. The lady on the other side, showed willingness to help and booked an appointment next day at 11 am at JKRS. I asked her for contact number of JKRS and she informed that JKRS will contact me. I waited for a day and no one called. On Friday evening wrote to myzest@tatamotors.com with a reminder of the same e-mail and reference of telecon with their customer care over phone for booking an appointment at JKRS next day.
The next day just as I was about to leave for JKRS, luckily checked by mailbox to read a mail from customercare@tatamotors saying JKRS is closed since October 2015!! This left me shocked with disbelief. I was in fact given an appointment by the so called helpdesk at a non functional service centre?[frustration] The same e-mail had details of contact person from Tata motors, Mr.Nikhil ( Regional manager south) , I couldn't connect to him on phone. Therefore wrote an e-mail and he replied with another service centre address in south Goa, around 40km from my home. I called up the number and they informed me of their service point in north Goa about 10 km from my home. Called up the service manager and finally took the car there.
Wasn't expecting too much from this service in terms of service/value and wasn't disappointed either. [;)]Was a sub par experience and nothing much to write about. Though it was a simple cleaning and check up, that too was done in hasty manner. The cleaning was namesake with simple washable stains remaining as they were after wash. The cloth used for wiping the car dry was itself dirty. There was no one to handover the car and confirm with me whether I was satisfied with the work or not. I only got a phone call today after 2 days from Auto industries Goa, asking how was the REPAIR expereince[confused]. I said I wasn't there for any repair but first free service! She again asked me how was the quality of repair?? Give me a break now.
Finally she asked how much would I rate the service from 1 to 10, I said 6.5 and she asked me the reason. I told her that cleaning was improper. She hung up after that!!
I am saying this again, that Tata's have great products but the same is spoilt big time by the dealers and service network apart from their lethargic customer care which has a long way to go.

Hello everyone,
Its XT is now 1 year old with 11k run. It is due to for its 2nd service. Renewed my insurance from TATA AIG to New India. The reason being, TATA AIG is no more list of TATA motors group insurance. Paid 19k for Zero Dep.
Till now the car is running good with avg mileage of 15 in city and 21 highways. Everything is smooth till now with no major issue
Things i am planning
1. stick door guard
2. low beam are not strong for city drive. Might look at changing it
nothing more.

Also, i have one dent and few scratches in my car. Planning to remov everything this during this service. Can this be done?

1> Ask them to replace tail lamp in warranty. The seals are faulty and its a manufacturing defect.

2> If the vehicle is not in warranty, ask SVC to fill sillicon on the edges and joints. I mean coat the entire ledge to lamp from inside. That shall stop the water.

Wow. Thats really pathetic! Service center was closed and CustomerCare did'nt even know? I suggest you send a strong to some higher off official in TATA. Do get in Touch with TSIvipul on this forum. he'll sure help you.

I've already written in some other thread I think, Zest low beams are using pathetic halogen lamps. Upgrade them to 4300K HID kit and enjoy daylight!

Hello TAI members,
Good day to you.

The monsoon camp for TATA Motors vehicles are announced through Concorde.

I had visited Concorde Motors @ Ambattur and the Camp inspection extends to 50 check points covering Engine, Interior, Exterior and Underbody parts.

Also you can avail discounts on the TATA Original Spare parts if any require replacement and also discount available on TATA OE accessories.

Due to heavy rains in Chennai and suburbs, the roads have become heavily damaged. It is better to get your vehicle inspected completely and also get a Top wash FREE !!

The offer is available till 26-Nov 2015. Also request TAI members to check whether similar campaign is present in other Concorde Outlets outside of Chennai.

Happy and safe Motoring !![:)]
