Re: Tata Zest XM (Revotron) Ownership Review

A head on colliison at 30kmph has as equaivalent impact as one would get if one has fallen from the top of a five storey building.

Airbags are a must, irrespective of one's requirements. Period.
Yes bro, as of now i am thinking bad over my decision of not opting XMS variant as it is of only approx 18k much costlier than my current variant XM.
And driver seat adjustable is also needed some time.
any ones now no option as of much faster delivery is the only benefit i got.
Thanks

I also thought for the same, but still these all accessories are not available with the dealer.

I dont think this HVAC control knobs are a downer. Yes it looks like from the old indica (pre vista) models. BUT that shouldnt matter as the mechanism is servo operated as opposed to the cable operated in the previous models.

OMG.. Extremely shoddy work by Tata management

No acessories, when the car is launched [surprise]

When is dealer promising to give accessories [frustration]

Re: Tata Zest XM (Revotron) Ownership Review

Not really. Vipul is right.

Vista Refresh LX/VX/ZX and Manza got following HVAC Controls

Vista D90 and Manza Club Class got following HVAC Controls

Now TATA is back to Pre facelift/refresh Vista days circa 2008. Unpardonable, regressive step. Zest and Bolt deserved Vista Refresh HVAC Controls if not the D90 ones.
HVAC controls in Zest's top model are matching with Vista D90 Quadrajet. So I dont think its a regressive step in fact its a smart step. Tata had to justify the the cost of top end model with some extra goodies over the lower models.

Atindra
Vista and Manza lower and mid models had same knobs for HVAC as Zest. There is no change. I have checked that.

Thinking of adding the following accessories when i buy the zest
BUMPER PROTECTOR Bumper Protector - Set of 4 pcs 1100
PARK ASSIST Reverse Parking Sensor with Camera 5380
DOOR PROTECTOR Moulded Protector - LHS & RHS 1900

Congrats Pawan on Zest and nice review. Accessories for Zest still may not be available but for generic things accessories for Vista and Manza should fit in nicely. Check ebay, snapdeal you will get lot of them.

You may have to install the park assist mounted on IRVM as I doubt you can integrate with OEM HU.

I guess the aftermarket Rubber bumper and door beeding protectors will spoil the looks of the Zest.
Please think twice at least before you opt.

I think you're over-exaggerating it.

I dont think its that bad.
I agree with you to an extent. To add, the airbags wont deploy if the crash is at 30 kmph.

That said, airbags are worth considering. You never know what the force of impact will be.
