Hi, I own a Zest Revetron XMS. Since few days after running my vehicle for few kms whenever i stop at a signal i could feel jerks in the car....when i say jerks i feel as if the vehicle is struggling to stop the engine from turning off, i observe that the RPM goes down to 500 and again it comes back to 700-800 RPM during this period i can feel the car or seat shaking. I usually drive in ECo mode w/o A.C. I went to the service station but not sure if they have taken care of it. I am from Bangalore.

Have anyone of you faced this issue...if yes could you please give me the solution or guide me to the right service center in Bangalore.

@Kallem , I have seen reports of such issues on other forums.
It seems it happens when the turbo charger does not respond , especially during the deceleration .

You must report this to TML on mail and on FB.
Follow it up. I think they should be providing the solution soon.

The Problem is Indian manufacturers give us a Half-baked product. Projectors are presennt but they use regular halogen bulbs instead of Proper HID xenon kits like BMW or else. I have upgraded my XUV projectors to HID, the guide is over here-

started reserch from kwid,moved to baleno,then to amaze to xcent and yesterday finally booked zest xms(red).wanted to get in beige color but my "would be" wife saw red zest some where right before booking and then everyone knows what happens.booked from concord motors(silk board,bangalore).they have agreed to installa reverse camera as a free accessory.expected delivery date is 5th January.i'll keeep you guys posted about my experience.

Tata Motors have already declared that the prices will be hiked on its products from Jan1.
So make sure with your dealer that you will not be entitled to pay the difference of the amount if any.

Good news for tata zest owers!!!!today i had a talk with some of tata sales department officials and i told him my concern regarding zest becoming another taxi class vehicle in the near future so he explained me the situation.... Tata Motors Ltd has hired Mayank Pareek, a former top executive of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, to head its passenger vehicle business unit, giving him the responsibility to turn around the struggling business.and all the dealers have been given strickt orders not to sell zest and bolt to any taxi operators(for yellow number plates).
so people like me who are worried about the same can sit back and relax.

sure. i ate their head today and they finally agreed to deliver the car(xms) on christmas eve. hopefully thts my christmas presentn this year[:D]

Tata motors hiring Mayank Pareek is a very old news; and yes it has solidly been declared by TML that Zest won't be sold in the Taxi market.

TML may have given orders not to sell Zest and Bolt to fleet operators but the reality is that you can find many yellow plates Zest & Bolt doing the rounds. At the end of the day any manufacturer will be thinking to push their products to the market rather than pile up their inventory cost. IMHO, there is no issue for Zest and Bolt to wear the yellow plate as it is an increasing case of acceptance by fleet operators that the vehicle is VFM and extremely reliable for long run use. So i think we should not mind about this as you can find yellow plates for most other popular cars as well.

DJ bro did you ever done some mods on the zest. Trying to come with something on the front and rear bumpers of the zest. The black portion on the bottom make the car too high set from the ground. Relatively Bolts front bumper looks better. Your thoughts..
