Thanks to all of you for well wishes [:)]
Indeed a first proud owner from TAI

Congrats buddy for your new car. Wishing you a very pleasant journey with it.
Thank you , Yes my son is so thrilled, he was running from one car to other for the entire time we spend in showroom.

Well Nano is perfect city car in its sagment, we had many smilling miles with her,
It never let us down be in city or in highway.
Small ,nimble and easy to drive, having enough inner space(except boot)
we just had normal wear and tear. The only thing i dislike is hardness of clutch.
Had good TASS and car is very very low on maintenance too.
but saidly killed by having a cheap car marketing by TM.

Hello Sachin - that's one nice-looking car, and junior looks properly thrilled! I'm sure your choice is a good one & we wish you years of happy driving.
What was your experience of the Nano? I find it (as an engineer) to be an excellent design & I'd like to know how well it was developed & executed by TM.
Congratulations once again!
Regards,
Shashanka
Thank you Abhishek , Its XZO, Received early as i did booked this on 15 March [:)]. Was going for Baleno but this beauty keep pushing me back.
Congrats buddy. Car really looks awesome. Surprised Akash is beaten to be the first Taiger Tigorean. Is it xz or xzo?
Kid is so happy sitting on the car.
Yes mini review is coming very soon.
Congrats Sachin...

Eagerly waiting for your ownership review...

Akash, you may still beat him for ownership review [;)]

With the upcoming launch of the New Swift and Dzire i hope the Tigor gets the traction it needs to establish itself
The new swift and dzire look killer, weigh less, have bigger boot (the swift is up o 265 L) and longer wheelbase, and all with ABS , airbags?. Added with the maruti name i see a storm coming the way of the other hatches and sub4 compact cars
Images from Gaadi wadi.[thinking]Tigor needs to get going

I don't think Tigor or even Aspire need to worry as Dzire was substantially more expensive and with a facelift Maruti would increase the prices even more. And as far as looks go Tigor and even Aspire look so much better. This is just ok and almost same from rear which is ordinary. Its an over'kill' to use the word killer here.

IMO new dzire does look good among all the compact sedans (at-least in photo).Side profile and rear are fabulous ,front is debatable because of that grill ,still full marks for those headlights.
With ABS and Airbags a mid level Dzire can attract customers of top trim Tigor.

Thanks for your feedback! Very relieved to know that at least one Nano owner has had a pleasant experience with the car.
And you are right, of course - the marketing killed any chances of the car's success.

All these stories, are well stories, mainly from people who have never driven a Nano, this engineering marvel is a beauty to own.

Some points :
1. A boon in city traffic, I jut in and like a 2 wheeler.
2. Commanding view of the road.
3. Chiller A/c.
4. AMT with creep, manual mode and sports mode, (one can't ask for the moon for ~3L.
5. The MID has more info than 5+L value cars.
6. Seats 4+1 very comfortably.
7. In this 6 months of use, paid for fuel only. AMC Gold takes care of everything, brakes, clutch plates down to wiper.
8. Boot space just for some shopping bags.

Hi Vinod,

Thanks for your feedback as well as that of Dr. Rishab. It comes as a sense of relief and also great satisfaction that this (as you aptly put it!) 'engineering marvel' has admirers in our ranks. The few blokes I have met here in Lucknow (& in our complex in Mumbai) were not very complimentary in their assessment.

Speaking purely as an engineer, the design (small, rear-engined, RWD urban runabout) speaks to the deeps in me! - it reminds me of my boyhood in Allahabad when the Renault Dauphin, Fiat 500/600 & the Beetle were often spotted by us fledgling car buffs, as we cycled our way to school!

I have been keeping my fingers crossed that TM do not scrap the model, but develop it adequately & stop marketing it as the poor man's 4-wheeler.
Longevity & durability (not abuse-friendliness, mind you!) is inherent in the layout - as testified by the number of air-cooled, RWD Beetles still on the roads!

The current FWD, water-cooled example (of the Beetle) is an abomination & a sacrilege to the original's memory, created by the extraordinary Dr. Ferdinand Porsche. With sincere apologies to the owners.

PS - Mods, I know this is way OT & if you feel so, do edit the post as you think fit.

I dont think that car is sub four meter car. The swift dezire. New one. Doesnt look like one atleast.
Yeah like even Chevy Sail isnt sub 4m but it falls in the category thanks to pricing etc (all cons aside)
Hopefully manufacturers will stop sub 4m cars and price larger cars more reasonable in future
