Its Tigor buddy not Tiago. Tigor has good start and Aspire too had good growth and even Zest has good growth. Looks like a real dent on Dzire, Amaze, Xcent sales by these cars. Good for consumers. If people buy sensibly I guess Tigor and Aspire would rule the CS segment.

Thanks. I will surely write the review as I get the car home.

Thanks, in Noida, OTR quoted was 7.13 L (With AMC) but as I am not taking AMC so it comes around 7.05 L. Rest of the details will be updated on car's arrival buddy.

Regards

Akash
Congrats Akash on new Tigor !

Congratulations @Akash1886 for your new Tigor.
Will be a great pleasure to be know about the PDI and delivery experience from you of this car.
Surely will inform buddy about the same as I proceed.

Congrats Akash on new Tigor !

Well, 2 Year or 75,000 km is what the company is giving as standard warranty. 2 years is a reasonable time and if need is there will buy it later on.

Buddies,

I am relieved to update that finally I went ahead and booked Tigor XZO Petrol in Silver. Got VIN decoded and its freshly baked one (Feb 2017 chassis) and assembling of mid March 2017. ETA within 2 weeks as it is in transit and 1st booking of Silver one with Noida dealer. Just a comparo with the CITY. The PDI will be done by next week. The dealership and SA experience has been very humble and nice. Thanks to all my buddies here for the support and respect.

The Silver color Petrol version has different alloys than Diesel model and in the cabin the AC vents have piano Black finish instead of body color.

Rishabh, yesterday night I replied to you, "Tomorrow's Morning may bring some better thoughts". Its a slightly long story. Lets keep it for the future. So, in morning, I took dad to showroom, explained him my views on CIAZ and immediately got the booking done for Tigor with VIN in hand. I simply kept it real today and did what I felt was right as a enthusiast and maybe my uncle isn't pleased but I give a F.

Congratulations Akash! So finally you chose to leave the dilemma behind, made up your mind, took a stand and made your decision. Kudos, old chap - it takes real conviction to leave a trusted brand and opt for a new (and relatively untested) one. I'm sure your decision is justified & your family members will come round in the end!
Looking forward to the detailed review.

Congrats Akash. Wishing you happy miles with the Styleback. Can someone tell me why there is too much negativity on Tigor pricing at least in diesel avatar. Aspire diesel is giving tough fight to Tigor diesel topend. Someone looking at the price list and features may feel Tigor diesel is overpriced. But petrol seems priced more realistically. What about comparison with Aspire petrol ?

Or whether the prices hiked for other cars after April 1 ?

If my budget is strictly at 6 lakhs, have to satisfy with Tigor Petrol XT (may be more than 6, 6 - 6.10) or to go for Tiago XZ petrol with alloys. Confused.

Shashanka Sir, I am still not that "old" and yet to get married[lol]. Sir, I had my fair share of disagreements and arguments about my choice but I was convinced of my decision. I had a weak moment too but gathered myself. Finally, with some knowledge of cars, I knew, based on my needs, Tigor top end fits well. Tigor might be a risky choice for my family but not for me. I kept suggesting about cars to my buddies here so taking the correct decision in my own case was much important. After-all, someone has to take the first step and adopt a new car. I am absolutely clear about my choice and seeing the support of my buddies here for my choice, I am happy that I was right in the end.

Congrats Akash. Wishing you happy miles with the Styleback.
Thanks a lot bud.

Biggest drawback is the engine capacity itself in Tigor. Rest are just one's opinions.

But petrol seems priced more realistically. What about comparison with Aspire petrol ?
I will make sure of this. But petrol Aspire gets a choice of bigger engine, AT and more airbags than a petrol Tigor.

Or whether the prices hiked for other cars after April 1 ?
In case of Tigor, till today, prices are same as on day of launch atleast in Delhi/NCR.

If my budget is strictly at 6 lakhs, have to satisfy with Tigor Petrol XT (may be more than 6, 6 - 6.10) or to go for Tiago XZ petrol with alloys. Confused.
I would say go for the Tiago with airbags. Rest all features aside, XT Tigor does not have airbags which is the biggest drawback. At least a driver's airbag should be there in it.

How did you get the VIN at the time of booking Buddy?
I was simply lucky. 1st Silver XZO booked from Noida dealer. Now its just about the PDI. On a lighter note, When a huge looking man with a ponytail sits to negotiate, at times, its the man's win only.

Hi Bibek, Glad to know my posts were enjoyable and useful for you. Welcome on-board TAI buddy. The Aspire includes a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder motor whereas the Tigor has a 3 cylinder petrol engine carried from Tiago. My criteria of leaving out Aspire was the long waiting period in Noida and the fact that my father wasn't interested to hop from dealer to dealer. Tigor XZ is a good option but if the Ford dealer is giving you Aspire with lesser waiting period, go for it. However do note, Aspire is low on rear seat space. If you want to go for a Tigor then go for XZO Petrol. In short, if you want more refinement but you can compromise on comfort a bit then opt for Aspire but if you can live with a reasonable performing petrol engine along with host of features and comfort then go for Tigor XZO.
