Launch by year end is too late. I think Nexon is to launched by end of 2017. I understand from a Team BHP post that the testing is completed and vendor communique has already begun. Expecting the launch by March or April 2017. Year end will be too late for Tata and it would probably be fighting against the new Dzire and will be DoA.

The Kite 5 the Tiago sedan has got some interesting factors with it :

*Cracking a new segment - A new entry level sub 4m sedan segment with a Higher sement feel product ,guessing same as that of tiago.

*Feature rich like normal 4m sedans & premium hatchbacks but will be significantly cheaper expecting max premium of 1-1.25 Lakhs more than Tiago for loaded top end.

Tata literally created sub 4m sedan segment and maruti is ruling now without any threats from any of its competitors.

Its time to give back the throne? Tiago sedan is the final & ultimate hope for pulling down the dzire from the top!

After the successful launch of Hexa, Tata Motors is readying itself for the launch of its compact sedan codenamed -Kite 5 in March 2017, sources close to the development told.

"The launch of Kite 5 sedan was earlier scheduled for the month of January 2017. However, the launch was later re-scheduled for March 2017 as the dealership network wasn't equipped enough to cater to new launches," a source close to the development informed

The title of this post suggests that the Indigo eCS will be discontinued with the Kite5 arrival? Perhaps i am mistaken?
Sales of the old Indica V2 and Indigo eCS are not so small to stop production?

I guess TATA wont do that mistake indica/indigocs combined monthly sales around 3500 to 4000units, its fav option for fleet people but i think TATA should upgrade indica/indigo lineup in facelift(new grip+bumber/headlamps) engine upgrade replace with 1.05L Dicor motor. its not a big deal for them they should protect iconic brands while launching new brands

The pricing of Tigor from 5.35 to 9.55 Lakh.
I think they are introducing automatic variant at the price of9.55 Lakh.

1.05 L diesel engine at a higher price and no introductory offers .

9.55 lacs is too high IMO

Diesel engine is same as Tiago but with VGT (instead of FGT)

Insiders, any info on Tigor's petrol engine? I know it will use the same 1.2L Tiago engine but in case they retune it for Tigor.

Also, any launch date?
